Ivan Cavallari
Ivan Cavallari is a dancer and choreographer and artistic director. He is currently at the head of the artistic direction of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal. Early life Cavallari was born in Bolzano, Italy. He received his initial training at the Teatro alla Scala Ballet School in Milan. His Ballet teachers noticed his talent and awarded him a scholarship to the Bolshoi Ballet School in Moscow. He was with the Bolshoi Ballet School from 1981 until 1983. Cavallari danced with the Teatro alla Scala Ballet from 1984 to 1985. In 1986 he joined the Stuttgart Ballet. He became a soloist in 1991, advancing to a principal dancer in 1994 under the successive directions of Marcia Haydée and Reid Anderson. Bolzano ( ; ; or ) is the capital city of South Tyrol (officially the province of Bolzano), Northern Italy. Bolshoi Ballet School
The Moscow State Academy of Choreography (), commonly known as The Bolshoi Ballet Academy, is one of the oldest and most prestigious schools of ballet in the world, located in Moscow, Russia. It is the affiliate school of the Bolshoi Ballet. Marcia Haydée
Marcia Haydée Salaverry Pereira da Silva (born 18 April 1937) is a Brazilian ballet dancer, choreographer and ballet director. She was prima ballerina of the Stuttgart Ballet under John Cranko and succeeded him as the company's director, serving from 1976 to 1995. She has been director of the Santiago Ballet since 1992. Career Born in Niterói, Haydée studied with several masters, joined the Royal Ballet School in London and then the Grand Ballet du Marquis de Cuevas (Monaco) in 1957. West Australian Ballet
West Australian Ballet (WAB) is the state ballet company of Western Australia and is based at the Western Australian Ballet Centre in Maylands, an inner suburb of Perth. Founded in 1952 by Kira Bousloff (formerly of the Ballets Russes), it is the oldest ballet company in Australia.
