Ernesto De La Cárcova
Ernesto de la Cárcova y Arrotea (March 3, 1866 – December 28, 1927) was an Argentine painter of the Realist school. Life and work Ernesto de la Cárcova was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1866. Taking an early interest in the canvas, he studied at the local Society for the Stimulus of Fine Arts under painter Francisco Romero. He attended the prestigious Accademia Albertina in Turin, where he was trained by painter Giacomo Grosso. At the 31st Turin Fine Arts Exposition in 1890, he presented ''The Head of An Old Man'', a pastel drawing he sold to the King of Italy, Umberto I, for display at the Palazzo Quirinale in Rome. Ernesto De La Cárcova Museum Of Reproductions And Comparative Sculpture
The Ernesto de la Cárcova Museum of Reproductions and Comparative Sculpture is located in the Puerto Madero ward of Buenos Aires, and is administered by the National University of Arts. Overview The museum originated with a collection of reproductions purchased by painter Ernesto de la Cárcova in Berlin from 1905 to 1908. Most of these reproductions were based on works on display at the Berlin State Museums, including those of a number of ancient Ancient Egypt, Egyptian, Chaldean, and Ancient Greece, Greek busts and bronzes. María Ruanova
María Ruanova (July 3, 1912 – June 5, 1976) was an Argentine dancer, choreographer, teacher and ballet master, known for her performances at the Teatro Colón and internationally. She is considered the first Argentina-grown ballet dancer to gain international fame. Biography Ruanova's parents were Emilio Ruanova and Mercedes Maury, who met in Barcelona. Carlos López Buchardo
Carlos Félix López Buchardo (October 12, 1881 – April 21, 1948) was an Argentine composer of Classical music whose work was inspired by native music. He founded the Conservatorio Nacional Superior de Música in Buenos Aires, an institution that later became a department (Departamento de Artes Musicales y Sonoras "Carlos López Buchardo") of the current Universidad Nacional de las Artes.
