Italo Dance
Italo dance (also written Italodance) is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in the mid-1990s in Italy as a regional development of eurodance; its sound subsequently evolved into a distinct yet closely related form. The genre had its peak of popularity from the late 1990s to the mid-2000s, chiefly in Italy and San Marino, but it also enjoyed great success in the rest of Europe and in the Americas. The genre's most successful acts include Eiffel 65, Gabry Ponte, Paps'n'Skar, Kim Lukas, Neja, Prezioso & Marvin and Gigi D'Agostino. Eurodance (sometimes referred to as Euro-NRG) is a genre of electronic dance music that originated in the late 1980s in Europe. It combines many elements of Hip-hop, rap, techno and Eurodisco. This genre of music is heavily influenced by the use of rich vocals, sometimes with Rapping, rapped verses. Paps'n'Skar was an Italian dance music group. It was initially called ''Sally Can Dance'', a name that the band also used later. The group was formed in 1994 by former schoolmates Emanuele Cozzi ("Paps") and Davide Scarpulla Davide is an Italian given name (common) and an Italian/ Filipino surname (relatively rare). Disco Demolition Night was a Major League Baseball (MLB) promotion on Thursday, July 12, 1979, at Comiskey Park in Chicago, Illinois, that ended in a riot. At the climax of the event, a crate filled with disco records was blown up on the field between games of the twi-night doubleheader between the Chicago White Sox and the Detroit Tigers. Many had come to see the explosion rather than the games and rushed onto the field after the detonation. Luigino Celestino di Agostino (; born 17 December 1967), known professionally as Gigi D'Agostino (), is an Italian DJ and music producer. In 1986, he started his career as a DJ spinning Italo disco.
