Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University
Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University ( tr, İstanbul Sabahattin Zaim Üniversitesi) is a Turkish private higher-education institution established by "İlim Yayma Vakfı" (literally: Foundation for Popularization of Science) on April 24, 2010. The education at the university began in the 2011–12 term. The university was named after Sabahattin Zaim (1926-2007), who was a professor of economics in the Faculty of Economics at Istanbul University until 1993. A Macedonian from birth, he served as the founding rector of the International University of Sarajevo in 2003-04 after he taught at several universities in and outside Turkey. He was also a founding member of İlim Yayma Vakfı. The university's main campus is located in Halkalı, Küçükçekmece, Faculty building is situated in Altunizade and the some Research Centers in Eyüp. Küçükçekmece
Küçükçekmece (; meaning “small-drawer”, from much earlier ''Rhagion'' and ''Küçükçökmece as “little breakdown''" or “''little depression''”, in more ancient times just as Bathonea), is a suburb and district of Istanbul, Turkey, 23 kilometers west of the city centre and laying next to Lake Küçükçekmece. Eyüp
Eyüp () or Eyüpsultan is a district of the city of Istanbul, Turkey. The district extends from the Golden Horn all the way to the shore of the Black Sea. Eyüp is also the name of a prominent neighborhood and former village in the district, located at the confluence of the Kâğıthane and Alibey streams at the head of the Golden Horn. The Eyüp neighborhood is a historically important area, especially for Turkey's Muslims, due to the presence of the tomb of Abu Ayyub al-Ansari. It became a district centre in 1936, after some parts of Fatih, Çatalca and Sarıyer were joined; later it also included Gaziosmanpaşa and Bayrampaşa districts. Altunizade
Altunizade is a neighborhood of the municipality of Üsküdar in Istanbul, Turkey. It is located on the Asian side of the city. The location takes its name from Altunizade İsmail Zühtü Pasha (1806–1887), a wealthy civil servant in the Ottoman Empire, who established the settlement in an utmost area on the Anatolian part of Istanbul in the 19th century. "Altunizade" means gold trader in the Ottoman Turkish language.
