Istanbul Metrobus
The Metrobus () is a bus rapid transit route in Istanbul, Turkey. The system has 44 stations that follow the city's ring road via Avcılar, Zincirlikuyu and the Bosphorus Bridge to Söğütlüçeşme using dedicated bus lanes for almost the entire length of the route. The busway, the first section of which opened in 2007 after two years of construction, is used by a number of Metrobus lines which operate within a 'closed' system carrying 1 million people daily. Turkish authorities have since assisted with the development of a similar system in Lahore, Pakistan, which opened in 2013. Its name was coined by the İETT to suggest that the system is a hybrid between a metro train () and a bus (). Phileas is a bus rapid transit, developed by Samenwerkingsverband Regio Eindhoven Metropoolregio Eindhoven, (SRE), Netherlands, along with other companies for the Cooperation Foundation Eindhoven Region (most prominently; APTS and Bombardier). Phileas is an advanced guided bus, intended to deliver tram-like public transport at a low cost; the maintenance infrastructures are intended to be cheaper, due to no maintenance of rails and overhead lines. A major feature of the bus, is the recharging battery by means of electromagnetic induction; which allows the battery to be manufactured in smaller sizes. Göztepe is a neighbourhood in the municipality and district of Kadıköy, Istanbul Province, Turkey. Its population is 40,858 (2022).
