Israeli Documentary Filmmakers Forum
The Israeli Documentary Filmmakers Forum is an Israeli Nonprofit organization foster documentary films and series. The Israeli Documentary Filmmakers Forum include over 450 members. In 2006 the forum initiated and organized an annual competition, called "The Israeli Documentary Film Competition". The forum held a long-standing struggle to invest more money and get more broadcast time for original Israeli documentary projects in the Israeli television channels. The current forum's chairwoman is Hagit Ben Yakov. Her predecessors were Osnat Trabelsi, Uri Rosenwaks, Avishai Kfir and Naftali Glicksberg. ''Globes'' () is a Hebrew-language daily evening financial newspaper in Israel. ''Globes'' was founded in the early 1980s and published in Tel Aviv, Israel. HaAyin HaShevi'it
HaAyin HaShevi'it (, lit. ''The Seventh Eye'') is an Israeli website that investigates and discusses the media field, especially mass media in Israel. The printed version magazine was first published by the Israel Democracy Institute in 1996, initially once every two months. It delivered its final print issue, #70, in January 2008 and moved to online-only publication. In April 2015, the newsroom departed from the Israel Democracy Institute, and became independent at that time. Today, the publisher remains an independent NGO that was founded by the site's staff and some of the frequent contributing writers. The publisher joined a new independent group in 2022. Osnat Trabelsi
Osnat Trabelsi (; born December 21, 1965) is an Israeli film producer. She is known for producing documentary films on political topics, especially those involving Palestine, the Mizrahi experience in Israel, women's issues, colonialism, racism, and more; and for melding her business with activism, promoting filmmaking in the geographical and social periphery of Israel, and creating access to Palestinian cinema. Biography Family background Trabelsi was born and grew up in Ashdod, in the south of Israel. Her mother, Rina, immigrated to Israel from Iraq, via Tehran, and lived in a shanty-town allotted to Mizrahi immigrants in Hadera. She later moved to Ramat Gan. Her father, Mordechai, immigrated from Tunis as part of a youth program, and studied in an agricultural school. He later reunited with his family, who came to Israel at a later time, and lived with them in the moshav Beit Hagadi, also in southern Israel. Uri Rosenwaks
Uri Rosenwaks (; Born 1965) is an Israelis, Israeli director and producer. Biography Uri Rosenwaks was born in Jerusalem, grew up in Beersheba, and currently resides in Ramat Gan. He is married to Tami, and the couple has 3 children. He is a graduate of the School of Film and Television and has a Master's degree in Near Eastern Studies both from Tel Aviv University. Rosenwaks embarked on his creative career in 1991 and since then he has directed, written and produced a large number of projects for cinema and television, including documentary, fictional and current affairs. He served as the chairperson of The Israeli Documentary Filmmakers Forum between 2010 and 2013. Documentary Rosenwaks is Director and Producer of a variety of documentary films and Series.
