Isra Girgrah
Isra Girgrah (born September 16, 1971) is a Yemeni-born American professional world champion female boxer. She was inducted into the International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame in 2020. Family and early life The Girgrah family is of the old gypsy roaming families of Aden who are originally of Ethiopian descent. They trace their roots to the southern Yemeni mountains. Isra, at the age of 3, moved to Canada with her family in 1974 and began boxing there in 1994 to stay in shape. A multi-sport star in high school, volleyball and soccer she proved a natural as a boxer. She took it up again after graduating from college and moving to Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Félix Juan Trinidad García (born January 10, 1973), popularly known as "Tito" Trinidad, is a Puerto Rican former professional boxer who competed from 1990 to 2008. He held multiple world championships in three weight classes and is considered to be one of the greatest Puerto Rican boxers of all time. After winning five national amateur championships in Puerto Rico, Trinidad debuted as a professional when he was seventeen, and won his first world championship by defeating Maurice Blocker to win the IBF welterweight title in 1993, a title he would hold for almost seven years with fifteen defenses. Tracy Michelle Byrd (born August 27, 1964, Flint, Michigan) is an American female boxer. She was inducted into the International Women's Boxing Hall of Fame in 2022.
