Ismet Iskandar
Ismet Iskandar (born 2 May 1948) is an Indonesian former politician who served as the regent of Tangerang Regency between 2003 and 2013. Career Prior to becoming regent, Iskandar served as municipal secretary under regent Agus Djunara. Iskandar was elected by Tangerang's municipal council as regent in 2003, with Norodom Soekarno as running mate. He was sworn in as regent on 22 March 2003. During the first term, a number of road construction projects in Tangerang Regency commenced, which connected parts of the regency, including initiating the Serpong–Balaraja Toll Road project. The carving of South Tangerang out from the regency occurred during Iskandar's regent term. Early on in his term, Iskandar opposed the carveout, citing that the region was not prepared to be an independent municipality and predicted that it could only occur in the 2010s. Tangerang Regency
Tangerang Regency is a regency of Banten province, Indonesia. It is located on the island of Java. The current regent is Ahmed Zaki Iskandar. Though commonly misunderstood as being a part of Jakarta, Tangerang is actually outside Jakarta City but is part of Greater Jakarta (which is called Jabodetabek, Tangerang being the "ta" of the acronym). Agus Djunara
Agus Djunara (born 2 September 1951) is an Indonesian former politician and military officer, who served as the regent of Tangerang Regency between 1998 and 2003. After the end of his regent tenure, he became involved in a fraud case, and was jailed briefly in Malaysia and later in Indonesia. Career Djunara graduated from the Indonesian Military Academy in 1974. Until 1995, he served in the infantry, rising up to the rank of deputy regimental commander. After 1995, he took office assignments until his move to bureaucratic career with the rank of colonel. In March 1998, Djunara was elected as regent of Tangerang after winning in a municipal council vote, being sworn in on 22 March 1998. Ahmed Zaki Iskandar (born 14 December 1973) is an Indonesian politician who is currently regent of Tangerang Regency and formerly a member of the People's Representative Council. Early life and education Iskandar was born in Tangerang, then part of West Java province, on 14 December 1973. He completed his elementary, middle and high school in Tangerang, obtaining a diploma from Victoria University in 1998 and later a bachelor's degree in economics from Pramita Indonesia University in Tangerang and a master's degree in governance studies from the Institute of Home Government in 2017. Rangkasbitung ( Sundanese: ) (colloquially called Rangkas) is a town which is the administrative centre of Lebak Regency, in Banten Province of Java, Indonesia.
