Ismaël Coulibaly
Ismaël Coulibaly (born 20 November 1992) is a Malian taekwondo practitioner who mainly fights in the lightweight division. Coulibaly represented Mali at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where he competed in the men's 80kg competition. He was Mali's flag bearer for the closing ceremony of the 2016 Olympics. He has also competed in three World Taekwondo Championships, a World Taekwondo Grand Prix and two African Games. He has won multiple World Championship medals and multiple medals in African regional competitions. Competition Coulibaly's debut at an international sporting competition was at the 2011 World Taekwondo Championships where he competed in the lightweight competition. His first fight in the competition was in the round of 64, where he beat Sawatvilay Phimmasone of Laos 7–3. Taekwondo At The 2016 Summer Olympics – Men's 80 Kg
The men's 80 kg taekwondo competition at the 2016 Summer Olympics was held on 19 August, at the Carioca Arena 3. This event featured five-time Olympian and three-time Olympic medalist Steven López, representing the United States. López has competed in every Olympic game since 2000. Cheick Sallah Cissé won the event for Côte d'Ivoire, the country's first Olympic gold. Competition format The main bracket consisted of a single elimination tournament, culminating in the gold medal match. The top eight athletes in each event were seeded so as not to face each other in the preliminary round. The remainder of the qualified athletes were drawn randomly on 15 August 2016. 2011 All-Africa Games
The 10th All-Africa Games (), also known as Maputo 2010, took place between September 3–18, 2011 in Maputo, Mozambique. Maputo's hosting marked the third time the Games was held in the southern part of the continent. Host awarding In April 2005, Lusaka, Zambia was named the host of the 10th Games by the Supreme Council for Sport in Africa at a meeting in Algeria. In 2004, Ghana had indicated an interest in hosting the Games, but reportedly withdrew its bid. In December 2008, the Zambian government withdrew its offer to host the 2011 Games, due to a lack of funds.
