Islamic Resistance Support Organization
The Islamic Resistance Support Association (IRSO; ar, هيئة دعم المقاومة الاسلامية في لبنان ''Hay'at Da'am al-Muqawama al-Islamiya fi Lubnan'') is a charity used to raise funds for Hezbollah and pay for the services it offers in Lebanon. Hezbollah uses the IRSO to collect donations in support of its military activities. Specifically, the IRSO broadcasts advertisements on Hezbollah's al-Manar television station in support of the charity fund. Hezbollah
Hezbollah (; ar, حزب الله ', , also transliterated Hizbullah or Hizballah, among others) is a Lebanese Shia Islamist political party and militant group, led by its Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah since 1992. A Specially Designated Global Terrorist (SDGT) is a person or entity that has been designated as such by the United States Department of State or the US Department of the Treasury. An SDGT designation is made under authority of US Executive Order 13224 of September 23, 2001, as amended by Executive Order 13268 of July 2, 2002, and Executive Order 13284 of January 23, 2003, and Title 31, Parts 595, 596, and 597 of the US Code of Federal Regulations, among other US laws and regulations.
