Islam Bibi
Islam Bibi ( ps, د اسلام چاچی; 1974 – 4 July 2013) was a female police officer in Afghanistan in the Helmand Province, Helmand province Headquarters and also a pioneer in the fight for feminism. She was the highest ranking policewoman at the time of her death in Afghanistan and led operations against the Taliban, Talibans. She received numerous death threats and was assassinated on 4 July 2013. Life Bibi was born in Kunduz Province, Kunduz province in 1974. She was a refugee in Iran when the Taliban took control of Afghanistan in the 1990s. She returned to Afghanistan in 2001, then set about raising her family at home before joining the police against her family's will. This prompted her brother to try to kill her because he wanted to save the honor of the family name. Lashkargah
Lashkargāh ( ps, لښکرګاه; fa, لشکرگاه), historically called Bost or Boost (), is a city in southwestern Afghanistan and the capital of Helmand Province. It is located in Lashkargah District, where the Arghandab River merges into the Helmand River. The city has a population of 201,546 as of 2006. Lashkargah is linked by major roads with Kandahar to the east, Zaranj on the border with Iran to the west, and Farah and Herat to the north-west. It is mostly very arid and desolate. However, farming does exist around the Helmand and Arghandab rivers. Bost Airport is located on the east bank of the Helmand River, five miles north of the junction of the Helmand and Arghandab rivers. Women's rights in Afghanistan have oscillated back and forth depending on the time period. After King Amanullah Khan's attempts to modernize the country in the 1920s, women officially gained equality under the 1964 Constitution. However, these rights were taken away in the 1990s through different temporary rulers such as the mujahideen and the Taliban during the Afghan civil war. During the first Taliban regime (1996–2001), women had very little to no freedom, specifically in terms of civil liberties.
