Syed Ishrat Abbas
Syed Ishrat Abbas ( ur, ), (1928 – 8 November 1980) better known by his stage name Darpan ( ur, ), was one of the original romantic heroes of the "golden age" of Pakistan's film industry (also commonly known as Lollywood). Background Syed Ishrat Abbas was born into a middle-class Shia Muslim family originally from the United Provinces of India, where he was born in 1928. His older brother, Santosh Kumar, was also a film actor. Another brother, S. Sulaiman, is a film director. Career Darpan was introduced in the film ''Amanat'' in 1950 and went on to feature in the Pakistani Punjabi film ''Billo'' in 1951. Ishrat Afreen
Ishrat Afreen (alternative spelling: Ishrat Aafreen; born 25 December 1956) is an Urdu poet. Her works have been translated in many languages including English, Japanese, Sanskrit and Hindi. The ghazal singers Jagjit Singh & Chitra Singh also performed her poetry in their anthology, ''Beyond Time'' (1987). Zia Mohyeddin also recites her nazms in his 17th and 20th volumes as well as his ongoing concerts. Begum Ishrat Ashraf is a Pakistani politician who has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan between 1985 and 2013. Ishrat Husain is a Pakistani banker and economist who served as the dean of the Institute of Business Administration (2008-2016) and the Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan (1999-2006). He presently serves as Advisor to Prime Minister Imran Khan for Institutional Reforms & Austerity, in office since August 2018. Ishrat Ali Siddiqui (1919-2014) was an Indian gandhian, poet of Urdu literature and a former editor of the Urdu daily, ''Quami Awaz''. Ishrat Hussain Usmani () ‎ (15 April 1917 – 17 June 1992) , best known as I. H. Usmani, was a Pakistani atomic physicist, and later a public official who chaired the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC) from 1960 to 1971 as well as overseeing the establishment of the Space Research Commission.
