Ishraque Hossain
Ishraque Hossain (; born 5 April 1987) is a Bangladeshi politician and a member of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). He is the son of former Mayor of Dhaka, Sadeq Hossain Khoka. He contested the 2020 Dhaka South City Corporation election as the BNP's mayoral candidate. On March 27, 2025, the Election Tribunal of Dhaka declared him the mayor of Dhaka South City Corporation. Early life and education Ishraque Hossain was born on April 5, 1987, in Dhaka, Bangladesh, into a distinguished Muslim family. His father, Sadeq Hossain Khoka, was a freedom fighter, a former minister, and the last mayor of undivided Dhaka City Corporation. Sadeque Hossain Khoka
Sadeque Hossain Khoka (12 May 1952 – 4 November 2019) was a Bangladeshi politician. He served as the 2nd mayor of Dhaka City Corporation during 2002 to 2011. He was the vice chairman of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party and was President of undivided Dhaka city BNP for longest period of the organisation's existence. Early life and career Khoka attended Dhaka University and completed M.A. in psychology. In 1971 at the age of 19 he fought in the Bangladesh Liberation War. After independence, he worked in organizing soccer, rising to the positions of General Secretary of the Dhaka Metropolitan Football Association and Joint General Secretary of the Bangladesh Football Federation. Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuiyan (; born 14 July 1998) is a Bangladeshi student activist, who is currently serving as an adviser to the interim government of Bangladesh. He is a key coordinator of the Students Against Discrimination, which led the Student–People's uprising. Khan Mohammad Nurul Huda (born 1948) is a retired secretary of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh and served as the Chief Election Commissioner of Bangladesh from 2017 to 2022.
