Isaiah Rajah
Isaiah Rajah (born 16 October 1993) is a Trinidadian cricketer. He made his first-class debut for Trinidad and Tobago in the 2016–17 Regional Four Day Competition on 25 November 2016. He made his List A debut for Trinidad and Tobago in the 2017–18 Regional Super50 on 11 February 2018. In November 2019, he was named in Trinidad and Tobago's squad for the 2019–20 Regional Super50 tournament. Sangre Grande
Sangre Grande is the largest town in northeastern Trinidad and Tobago. It is located east of Arima and southwest of the village of Toco. It is the seat of the Sangre Grande Regional Corporation and capital of the region. Overview and history The name ''Sangre Grande'' means "big blood", and it has been suggested that the town was named for a battle that took place between the native Amerindians and the Spanish settlers. However, this interpretation is not supported by historical records. The true origin of the name refers to when, in the late 1770s, Spanish surveyors who were charting the island for the purposes of creating a map, found that the waters of two of the tributaries of the nearby Oropouche River were red as blood, hence the name. List A cricket is a classification of the limited-overs (one-day) form of the sport of cricket, with games lasting up to eight hours. Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). 2016–17 Regional Four Day Competition
The 2016–17 Regional Four Day Competition was the 51st edition of the Regional Four Day Competition, the domestic first-class cricket competition for the countries of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB). The competition ran from 11 November 2016 to 24 April 2017. The WCIB re-introduced day/night fixtures into the competition with six matches played as such. Six teams contested the tournament – Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, the Leeward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Windward Islands. Guyana won the competition, their third consecutive title, after beating the Windward Islands in their penultimate match. 2017–18 Regional Super50
The 2017–18 Regional Super50 was the 44th edition of the Regional Super50, the domestic limited-overs cricket competition for the countries of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB). The tournament started on 31 January 2018 and finished on 24 February 2018. Barbados were the defending champions. In September 2017, two English county sides, Kent and Hampshire, were invited to take part in the competition. Kent took part in the previous edition of the tournament. In January 2018, the United States national cricket team accepted an invite to join the tournament. The 2019–20 Regional Super50 was the 46th edition of the Regional Super50, the domestic limited-overs cricket competition for the countries of the Cricket West Indies (CWI). The tournament started on 6 November 2019, with the final taking place on 1 December 2019. The tournament featured the six regular teams of West Indian domestic cricket (Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, the Leeward Islands, Trinidad and Tobago, and the Windward Islands), the Combined Campuses and Colleges team and the West Indies Emerging Team. Cricket West Indies (CWI) is the governing body for cricket in the West Indies (a sporting confederation of over a dozen mainly Commonwealth Caribbean, English-speaking Caribbean countries and dependencies that once formed the British West Indies).
