Isaac Winslow
Isaac Winslow ( – December 14, 1738) was an American politician and military officer who lived in Marshfield, Massachusetts. A member of the prominent Winslow family of the Plymouth Colony, he served as a civil and military official in a period marked by political transition. Early life and ancestry Isaac Winslow was born ca. 1671 on the family estate in the village of Marshfield, Massachusetts, Marshfield, Plymouth Colony to Josiah Winslow, Josiah and Penelope (Pelham) Winslow. He and his sister Elizabeth were the only children of four to survive to adulthood. Winslow's grandfather was Mayflower passenger Edward Winslow, a governor of Plymouth Colony and one of that colony's near-mythical "Pilgrims (Plymouth Colony), Pilgrims." Joseph Blackburn (painter)
Joseph Blackburn (died 1787) was an English painter who worked mainly in British North America. His notable works include portraits of Hugh Jones (circa 1777) and Colonel Theodore Atkinson (circa 1760). Life and career He seems to have been the son of a painter, and to have had a studio in Boston from 1755 until 1765; among his patrons were many important early American families, including the Charles Apthorp, Apthorps, Amorys, Bulfinches, Lowell family, Lowells, Ewings, Saltonstall family, Saltonstalls, Winthrops, Winslows and Otis family, Otises of Boston. Blackburn spent time in Bermuda (1752–1753), Newport, Rhode Island, Newport (1754), Boston (1755–1758), and Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Portsmouth (1758–1762).
