Isaac Michael Collins (born July 22, 1997) is an American professional baseball infielder and outfielder for the Milwaukee Brewers of Major League Baseball (MLB). Amateur career A native of Maple Grove, Minnesota, Collins played college baseball at Creighton University. In 2018, he played collegiate summer baseball with the Wareham Gatemen of the Cape Cod Baseball League. Professional career Colorado Rockies Collins was drafted by the Colorado Rockies in the 9th round, with the 279th overall selection, of the 2019 Major League Baseball draft. He made his professional debut with the Low–A Boise Hawks, hitting .257 with 17 RBI over 37 games. Collins did not play in a game in 2020 due to the cancellation of the minor league season because of the COVID-19 pandemic. An infielder is a baseball player stationed at one of four defensive "infield" positions on the baseball field, between first base and third base. 2019 Major League Baseball Draft
The 2019 Major League Baseball draft was held from June 3 to 5, 2019. The draft assigned amateur baseball players to MLB teams. The draft order was set based on the reverse order of the 2018 MLB season standings. In addition, compensation picks were distributed for players who did not sign from the 2018 MLB draft and for teams that lost qualifying free agents. The first 41 picks, including the first round and compensatory picks, were broadcast by MLB Network on June 3, and the second round was streamed on MLB.com directly following the first round. Tyler Gregory Gilbert (born December 22, 1993) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Chicago White Sox of Major League Baseball (MLB).
