Isa Khan Laghmani
Isa Khan Laghmani ( ps, عیسیخان لغماني, born 1987) is soldier of the Afghanistan National Army. He was called the hero of Afghanistan after he killed 6 suicide attackers alone in the Kabul Parliament attack on June 22, 2015. Kabul Parliament attack On June 22, 2015, the Taliban detonated a car bomb outside the National Assembly in Kabul, and Taliban fighters attacked the building with assault rifles and RPGs. A Taliban fighter driving a car loaded with explosives managed to get through security checkpoints before detonating the vehicle outside the parliament's gates. Six Taliban insurgents with AK-47 rifles and RPGs took up positions in a construction site nearby. Members of Parliament were evacuated to safety, while security forces battled the insurgents in a two-hour gun battle. Laghman, Afghanistan
Laghman (Dari: ) is one of the 34 provinces of Afghanistan, located in the eastern part of the country. It has a population of about 502,148, which is multi-ethnic and mostly a rural society. Laghman hosts a large number of historical landmarks, minarets, monuments, and other cultural relics that are manifestation of its old history and culture. The city of Mihtarlam serves as the capital of the province. In some historical texts the name is written as "Lamghan" or as "Lamghanat". In 2021, the Taliban gained control of the province during the 2021 Taliban offensive. Etymology Laghman or Lamghan is originally named after Lamech (Mether Lam Baba), the father of Noah. Mohammed Masoom Stanekzai
Mohammed Masoom Stanekzai (Pashto: محمد معصوم ستانکزی; 1958) is a former Minister, Chief Peace Negotiator, and chief of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan. He became the chief of National Directorate of Security (NDS) in 2016. In 2019, he resigned following an extrajudicial killing of Afghan civilians by a joint US and NDS unit during a night raid in 2019. Previously, he has served as Minister of Telecommunications and Information Technology from 2002 to 2004 and later as a security advisor for President Hamid Karzai. He has also worked as the CEO of the joint secretariat of the Afghanistan Peace and Reintegration Program in 2009. In May 2015, he was nominated as Minister of Defense by President Ashraf Ghani. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani
Mohammad Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai (born 19 May 1949) is an Afghan politician, academic, and economist who served as the president of Afghanistan from September 2014 until August 2021, when his government was overthrown by the Taliban. Born in Logar Province, Ghani went to the United States in the 1960s to study and later completed a bachelor's degree at the American University in Beirut. After receiving his PhD from Columbia University, he became a professor of anthropology at numerous institutions, mostly at Johns Hopkins University, before starting to work with the World Bank. Staff sergeant is a rank of non-commissioned officer used in the armed forces of many countries. It is also a police rank in some police services.
