Irvin Tahmaz
Irvin Tahmaz (born 28 January 1976) is a retired Bosnian long jumper and athletic coach. He competed in the men's long jump event at the 1994 World Junior Championships in Athletics. Personal life Tahmaz was born on January 28, 1976, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, to Bosniak parents Osman and Naza Tahmaz. 800 Metres
The 800 metres, or 800 meters (American and British English spelling differences#-re.2C -er, US spelling), is a common track running event. It is the shortest commonly run middle-distance running event. The 800 metres is run over two laps of an outdoor (400-metre) track and has been an Olympic event since the first modern games in 1896. During the winter track season the event is usually run by completing four laps of an indoor 200-metre track. The event was derived from the imperial measurement of a half mile (880 yards), a traditional British racing distance. 800 m is 4.67 m less than a half mile. The 400 metres, or 400-meter dash, is a sprint event in track and field competitions. It has been featured in the athletics programme at the Summer Olympics since 1896 for men and since 1964 for women. On a standard outdoor running track, it is one lap around the track. Runners start in staggered positions and race in separate lanes for the entire course.
