''Irony'' (stylised as ''irony'') is an album by ACO, released in 2003. The album was produced by Sawai Taeji of portable mmunity, as well as others. The single from the album, "Machi", was produced by the Icelandic electronic group Múm. Irony reached #42 on the Oricon weekly chart, where it remained for four weeks, selling approximately 12,000 copies. A..C..O (born February 3, 1977) is a Japanese singer. She made her debut in 1995 with the Pop music, pop single . She is a part of Sony Music Japan. She explores different musical styles, with the albums ''Absolute Ego'' and ''Material'' displaying electronica influences. ''Absolute Ego'' was produced by ex-Denki Groove keyboardist, Yoshinori Sunahara and ''The Other Side of Absolute Ego'' album contains remixes by Tricky (musician), Tricky, DJ Krush, and Silent Poets. In 2003, after a two-year hiatus, she enlisted the help of the avant-garde audio-visual performance group ' for her quieter, more delicate album, ''Irony''. AllMusic described ''Irony'' as "one of the most beautiful albums to come out of Japan in 2003", with the music compared to an "airy lullaby". Múm (stylized in lowercase) () is an Icelandic indietronica band whose music is characterized by soft vocals, electronic glitch beats and effects, and a variety of traditional and unconventional instruments. History The band was formed in 1997 by original members Gunnar Örn Tynes and Örvar Þóreyjarson Smárason, who were joined by twin sisters Gyða and Kristín Anna Valtýsdóttir.
