Irish Tarmac Rally Championship
The NAPA Auto Parts Irish Tarmac Rally Championship, or Irish Tarmac Rally Championship (ITRC) is the premier rallying series in Ireland. It is held annually and is promoted by the Tarmac Rally Organisers’ Association (TROA). The Championship takes place over seven events, based in the Republic of Ireland and in Northern Ireland, using Special stage (rallying), special stages, which are run against the clock, on closed public tarmac roads. The overall Championship title is contested by drivers and co-drivers using cars Homologation (motorsport), homologated in Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile, FIA classes RC2 (R5 (rallying), R5/ Rally2), Group R, RC3, RC4, RC5 and RG-T. Right Hand Drive Group R5 derivative cars, conforming to Group R5 specification as per Group R5 homologation papers (except for a right-hand drive conversion) can also be used. West Cork Rally
The West Cork Rally, Clonakilty Park Hotel West Cork Rally is an annual motorsport tarmac rallying event held in Clonakilty, County Cork, Republic of Ireland, Ireland. Promoted and organised by Cork Motor Club, the rally began in 1977 and has run on or near Saint Patrick's Day, St. Patricks Weekend ever since with just a few exceptions (1987, 2001, 2020 and 2021). It is, according to a book about the rally's early history, an "important local cultural and economic event". It was a counting round of the Irish National Rally Championship for a number of years in the early days. In 2015 it became a full round of the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship for the first time, and remains a regular round since. Donegal International Rally
The Donegal International Rally is an annual car race in County Donegal, Ireland. It is one of the most important events in the Irish rallying calendar since 1972, and is one of the country's most challenging rallies. Organized by the Donegal Motor Club, the annual event begins and ends in Letterkenny. The Rally has been one of the rounds of the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship for a number of years. History 1972 The winner of the first event was Cahal Curley. The Circuit of Ireland International Rally is an annual automobile rally, which was first held in 1931 making it the third oldest rally in the world. The most recent event was held in 2025. ''The Circuit'', as it is colloquially known, is organised by the Ulster Automobile Club and is traditionally held over the Easter holiday weekend. The Galway Rally, or Galway International Rally, is an annual motorsport tarmac rallying event held in Galway, Ireland. Promoted and organised by Galway Motor Club, the rally was first ran in 1971. The Galway International Rally is the oldest International rally in Ireland. It has hosted the European Rally Championship stage every year between 1975 and 1982. Rally Of The Lakes
The Rally of the Lakes is an on-road rallying event held in the south-west of Republic of Ireland. It takes place each year on May bank holiday weekend. Organized by Killarney and District Motor Club, the rally has been running since 1979. Traditionally, it starts in Killarney and runs across County Kerry. For a number of years it has been the third/fourth round of the Irish Tarmac Rally Championship. Dungannon
Dungannon (, ) is a town in County Tyrone, Northern Ireland. It is the second-largest town in the county (after Omagh) and had a population of 16,282 at the United Kingdom Census 2011, 2021 Census. Clonakilty (; ), sometimes shortened to Clon, is a town in County Cork, Ireland. The town is at the head of the tidal Clonakilty Bay. The rural hinterland is used mainly for dairy farming.
