Irina Terentjeva
Irina Terentjeva (born 30 June 1984) is a Lithuanian former cross-country skiing (sport), cross-country skier who has competed since 2000. She competed in three Winter Olympics: 2002 Winter Olympics, Salt Lake City 2002, 2006 Winter Olympics, Turin 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics, Vancouver 2010, she earned her best finish of 37th in the individual sprint event at Turin in 2006. Career Irina Terentjeva won a silver medal in individual 10 km F event in the 2001 European Youth Championships (EYOF 2001) in Vuokatti, Finland. She won a bronze medal in the individual 5 km F event at the 2002 Nordic Junior World Ski Championships, 2002 Junior World Championships in Schonach im Schwarzwald, Schonach, Germany. FIS Cross-Country World Cup
The FIS Cross-Country World Cup is an annual cross-country skiing competition, arranged by the International Ski Federation (FIS) since 1981. The competition was arranged unofficially between 1973 and 1981, although it received provisional recognition on the 31st FIS Congress, 29–30 April 1977 in Bariloche, Argentina. The first World Cup races were held on 9 January 1982 and were located in Reit im Winkl, West Germany and Klingenthal, East Germany. The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 took place 22 February – 4 March 2007 in Sapporo, Japan. It was the second time this city has hosted these championships, having previously done so in the 1972 Winter Olympics. Sapporo was selected as venue by vote at the 43rd International Ski Federation, FIS World Congress in Portorož, Slovenia, on 6 June 2002. The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2003 took place February 18 – March 1, 2003 in Val di Fiemme, Italy for a second time (1991).
