Irene Lisboa
Irene do Céu Vieira Lisboa (25 December 1892 – 25 November 1958) was a Portuguese novelist, short story writer, poet, essayist and educational writer. Especially for her fictional work, she has achieved a special place in modern Portuguese literature. Biography Irene Lisboa was born in Quinta da Murzinheira in the municipality of Arruda dos Vinhos, Portugal. She came from very wealthy background and grew up at the family estate where she was born. She attended the ''Escola Normal Primeira de Lisboa'', and graduated high school from the convent boarding school of Convento do Sacramento. After schooling in Lisbon, she studied pedagogy in Belgium, France and Switzerland. Édouard Claparède
Édouard Claparède (24 March 1873 – 29 September 1940) was a Swiss neurologist, child psychologist, and educator. Career Claparède studied science and medicine, receiving in 1897 an MD from the University of Geneva, and working 1897–98 at La Salpêtrière hospital in Paris. In 1901 he founded the ''Archives de psychologie'' with his cousin, Théodore Flournoy, which he edited until his death. He was based from 1904 onward at the University of Geneva, where he became director of the experimental psychology lab. Jorge Cândido Alves Rodrigues Telles Grilo Raposo de Abreu de Sena (2 November 1919 – 4 June 1978) was a Portuguese-born poet, critic, essayist, novelist, dramatist, translator and university professor who spent the latter portion of his life in the United States. Life Jorge Candido de Sena was the only child of Augusto Raposo de Sena, from Ponta Delgada in the Azores, a merchant marine captain, and Maria da Luz Telles Grilo de Sena, from Covilhã.
