Iranian Cyber Army
The Iranian Cyber Army is an Iranian computer hacker group. It is thought to be connected to the Iranian government, although it is not officially recognized as an entity by the government. It is believed that Iranian Cyber Army derives portion of funding through Iranian government reources like Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. It has pledged loyalty to Supreme Leader of Iran. According to Tehran Bureau, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard initiated plans for the formation of an Iranian Cyber Army in 2005. The organization is believed to have been commanded by Mohammad Hussein Tajik until his assassination. The group has claimed responsibility for several attacks conducted over the Internet since 2009, most notably attacks against Baidu and Twitter. The attack against Baidu resulted in the so-called Sino-Iranian Hacker War. Hacker
A hacker is a person skilled in information technology who achieves goals and solves problems by non-standard means. Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Cyber Security Command
The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps Cyber Security Command is a command of the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) responsible for cyber warfare and cyber security. It was founded in 2006 (1386), its command was established in 2015 (1393). In 2022 identities of its members were hacked and leaked. It has conducted a number of cyber attacks against infrastructure. Previously it was called Center of organized crime inspection. They contract or "rent" hackers to breach accounts of dissidents. In 2009–10 protests and 2022–23 protests it asked for tips. Cyberwarfare In Iran
Cyberwarfare is a part of the Iranian government's "soft war" military strategy. Being both a victim and wager of cyberwarfare, Iran is considered an emerging military power in the field. Since November 2010, an organization called "The Cyber Defense Command" (; ''Gharargah-e Defa-e Saiberi'') has been operating in Iran under the supervision of the country's " Passive Civil Defense Organization" (; ''Sazeman-e Padafand-e Gheyr-e Amel'') which is itself a subdivision of the Joint Staff of Iranian Armed Forces. Iran has been the target of cyberattacks, including the Operation Olympic Games (Stuxnet) attack by the United States and Israel on its nuclear facilities. Swallow
The swallows, martins, and saw-wings, or Hirundinidae are a family of passerine songbirds found around the world on all continents, including occasionally in Antarctica. Honker () or red hacker is a group known for hacktivism based predominantly in China. The name translates to "Red Guest", in reference to the Chinese transliteration of hacker (黑客, hēikè, literally ''Black Guest'' as in black hat). The name "Honker" suggests that a hacker in red, the color of the Chinese Communist Party, is sperate from and opposed to hackers in the dark (the "Black Guests" derived from the Chinese transliteration of the term "hacker").
