Ira Rubinstein
Ira Rubinstein is a senior fellow at the Information Law Institute (ILI) at the New York University School of Law. He graduated from Yale Law School in 1985. Before joining ILI, he worked in Microsoft's Legal and Corporate affairs department for 17 years. He was Associate General Counsel for the Regulatory Affairs and Public Policy group at Microsoft. Information is an abstract concept that refers to something which has the power to inform. At the most fundamental level, it pertains to the interpretation (perhaps formally) of that which may be sensed, or their abstractions. Any natural process that is not completely random and any observable pattern in any medium can be said to convey some amount of information.
