Iqra Choudhary
Iqra Choudhary or Iqra Hasan (born 26 August 1994; , ) is an Indian politician. She is the member of Lok Sabha from Kairana Lok Sabha constituency since 4 June 2024. She is a member of the Samajwadi Party. Early life and education Iqra is the daughter of Chaudhary Munawwar Hasan, a former Member of the Lok Sabha as well as the Rajya Sabha, and Begum Tabassum Hasan, a former Member of the Lok Sabha. She belongs to a Muslim Gujjar family. She completed her schooling at Queen Mary School in New Delhi and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University. She later completed her MSc International Politics & Law from SOAS University of London in 2020. Political career Iqra comes from a political family, with her grandfather Akhtar Hasan, father Chaudhary Munawwar Hasan, Munawwar Hasan and mother Begum Tabassum Hasan, Tabassum Hasan being former MPs from Kairana. Al-ʻAlaq (, ''al-ʻalaq'', also known as "The Clinging Clot" or "The Embryo") is the 96th chapter (sūrah) of the Qur'an. It is composed of 19 '' āyāt'' or verses. It is sometimes also known as Sūrat Iqrā (, "Read"). Chapter 96 of the Qur'an is traditionally believed to have been Muhammad's first revelation. 2014 Indian General Election
General elections were held in India in nine phases from 7 April to 12 May 2014 to elect the members of the 16th Lok Sabha. With 834 million registered voters, they were the largest-ever elections in the world until being surpassed by the 2019 Indian general election, 2019 election.
