Ioannina Basketball Club (Greek: Ιωάννινα Σύλλογος Καλαθοσφαίρισης), also known simply as Ioannina B.C. or abbreviated as IBC, is a Hellenic Basketball Federation team based in Ioannina, Greece. The men's team is currently participating in Greek B Basket League, the women's team is playing in A ESKAVDE division and the Wheelchair Basketball team is participating in A2 National Division of the OSEKA league. Men's basketball team History Ioannina B.C. was founded in 2015 under its first name as Ioannina Sports Club, creating a men's basketball team and youth academies. In 2019 two new sections were established, Women's and Wheelchair basketball teams. The Greek B Basket League, or Greek B Basketball League (Greek language, Greek: Ελληνική Β Μπασκετ Λιγκ), is a national basketball league in Greece. It is the Greek basketball league system, 3rd-tier level of the basketball league system in Greece, and was founded in its current form in 1986. It is also known as National League 1. It is organized by the Hellenic Basketball Federation (E.O.K.). Originally, the league began in 1961, as the ''Greek National B Class Championship'', and it was the 2nd-tier level of Greek basketball until 1986, when it was replaced in that capacity by the Greek A2 Basket League. In sporting terminology, a youth system (or youth academy) is a youth investment program within a particular team or league, which develops and nurtures young talent in farm teams, with the vision of using them in the first team if they show enough potential. Team Spirit
Team Spirit was a joint military training exercise of United States Forces Korea and the Military of South Korea held between 1974 and 1993. The exercise was also scheduled from 1994 to 1996 but cancelled during this time period as part of diplomatic efforts to encourage the Government of North Korea to disable the North Korean nuclear weapons program. The North Korea regime abandoned talks following the January 1986 Team Spirit exercises, and in late 1992, North Korea unilaterally withdrew from the South-North High-Level Talks due to the 1993 Team Spirit exercise. Metsovo
Metsovo (; ) is a town in Epirus (region), Epirus, in the mountains of Pindus in northern Greece, between Ioannina to the west and Meteora to the east.
