Invictus Games (company)
Invictus Games is an independent Hungarian video game development studio founded in 1992 by Tamás Kozák and Ákos Diviánszky. They specialize in racing simulation games, like ''Project Torque'', ''Street Legal (game), Street Legal'' and ''Street Legal Racing Redline'', and ''Insane (2001 video game), Insane''. In 2009, they have moved on to mobile games. They also developed ''onEscapee'', a cinematic platforming game. Their publishers include Codemasters, Activision, 1C Company, 1C, Gamepot and Joyzone. "Invictus" is a short Poetry, poem by the Victorian era British poet William Ernest Henley (1849–1903). Henley wrote it in 1875, and in 1888 he published it in his first volume of poems, ''Book of Verses'', in the section titled "Life and Death (Echoes)". Background When Henley was 16 years old, his left leg required amputation below the knee owing to complications arising from tuberculosis. In the early 1870s, after seeking treatment for problems with his other leg at Margate, he was told that it would require a similar procedure. ''Street Legal'' is a racing video game developed by Invictus Games and published by Activision Value with a heavy emphasis on car customisation. It is the first game in the ''Street Legal'' series. ''Give It Up!'' is a 2014 rhythm platformer game developed and published by the Hungarian indie studio Invictus Games. It was released on December 18, 2014, for Android and iOS. The player is tasked with controlling a black blob and must avoid obstacles by jumping over them to the beat of a song. A sequel for the game was released on October 29, 2015. Gameplay The game contains a total of nine different music tracks. To unlock each track, the player must complete the previous track without making a single mistake. Throughout each level, the background shows what percentage of the level the player has completed. If the player makes a mistake in the level before reaching the end at 100%, they are forced to start again. The game contains only a single control, which is tapping the screen.
