Inventing Myself
''Inventing Myself'' is the fourth studio album by New Zealand recording artist Stan Walker. It was released on 25 October 2013, by Sony Music Australia. It is Walker's first album to be released exclusively in New Zealand. The album was preceded by the singles " Take It Easy", "Bulletproof" and " Inventing Myself". Background Walker had been working on ''Inventing Myself'' for over two years and it is his first album he has worked on in New Zealand. Singles " Take It Easy" was released as the album's first single on 30 November 2012. The song peaked at number five on the New Zealand Singles Chart and was certified double platinum for selling 30,000 copies. "Take It Easy" was also used in the New Zealand box office hit '' Mt Zion''. Stan Walker
Stan Walker (born 23 October 1990) is an Australian-born New Zealand singer, actor, and television personality. In 2009, Walker was the winner of the seventh and last season of ''Australian Idol''. He subsequently signed a recording contract with Sony Music Australia. In December 2009, Walker released his debut studio album, '' Introducing Stan Walker'', which included the hit single, "Black Box". The album debuted at number three on the Australian ARIA Albums Chart and was certified platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA). The Official New Zealand Music Chart ( mi, Te Papa Tātai Waiata Matua o Aotearoa) is the weekly New Zealand top 40 singles and albums charts, issued weekly by Recorded Music NZ (formerly Recording Industry Association of New Zealand). The Music Chart also includes the top-20 New Zealand artist singles and albums and top 10 compilation albums. All charts are compiled from data of both physical and digital sales from music retailers in New Zealand. Methodology The singles chart is currently sales and streaming data of songs. The compact disc (CD) is a digital optical disc data storage format that was co-developed by Philips and Sony to store and play digital audio recordings. Ria Hall
Ria Hall is a Māori recording artist and presenter on Maori TV's ''AIA Marae DIY'' in 2012-13. Life and career Hall was born in 1982 or 1983 and is of Ngāi Te Rangi/Ngāti Ranginui ancestry, and has three older sisters. She grew up in Maungatapu and attended Maungatapu School, Tauranga Intermediate and Tauranga Girls' College. At secondary school she became interested in singing through kapa haka and later joined the kapa haka group Waka Huia. In Wellington in 2006 Hall created a reggae band called Hope Road. Jane de Jong (born 1987), known professionally as Ruby Frost, is a New Zealand singer and songwriter from Auckland. In 2009, she won the nationwide music competition MTV ''42Unheard'', giving her a recording contract with Universal Music New Zealand.
