Introduction To Teaching
"Introduction to Teaching" is the second episode of the fifth season of ''Community'', and the 86th episode overall in the series. It originally aired on January 2, 2014 on NBC; and was written by Andy Bobrow and directed by Jay Chandrasekhar. Plot Jeff Winger finds himself having difficulty teaching his new class, "Fundamentals of Law", and finds himself suffering some ridicule from Greendale students due to his nonchalant attitude, and his demeanor which is more akin to a student than a teacher. He shares an office with Buzz Hickey ( Jonathan Banks), who has been teaching for 15 years and is Annie's criminology professor. Abed begins taking a class discussing actor Nicolas Cage, and whether he should be considered a "good" or "bad" actor. Annie and Jeff begin to fight over Jeff's attitude and unwillingness to take his class seriously. She later enrolls in the class in order to put pressure on him to do a better job. The series ran for 110 episodes over six seasons, with its first five seasons airing on NBC from September 17, 2009, to April 17, 2014, and its final season airing on Yahoo! Andy Bobrow
Andy Bobrow is an American television writer and producer known for his work on '' Community''. He was previously a writer for ''Malcolm in the Middle'', head writer for '' The Last Man on Earth'', ''Brooklyn Nine-Nine'', ''Bless the Harts'' and created a mockumentary called ''The Old Negro Space Program''. He currently voices Owly on the ''Love Me Cat Show''. Early life and career Bobrow attended Berkley High School in Berkley, Michigan, and Michigan State University. He plays the tuba and majored in music. He was a copywriter at several advertising agencies in Detroit and Los Angeles, including Campbell-Ewald and Ketchum. Bobrow also performed in the Groundlings Theater Sunday Company. Jayanth Jambulingam Chandrasekhar (born April 9, 1968) is an American comedian, film director, screenwriter, and actor. He is best known for his work with the sketch comedy group Broken Lizard and for directing and starring in the Broken Lizard films '' Super Troopers'', '' Club Dread'', ''Beerfest'' and '' Super Troopers 2''. Jonathan Banks
Jonathan Ray Banks (born January 31, 1947) is an American actor. Born in Washington, D.C. and raised in Chillum Heights, Maryland, while attending Indiana University Bloomington Banks did theatre. In 1974, he moved to Los Angeles where he began playing supporting roles in films and television. His breakthrough came with the role of detective Frank McPike in the television series '' Wiseguy'' (1987–1990).
