''Introducing L.A.B.'' is a compilation album released by New Zealand band L.A.B.. Originally released in Europe and the United Kingdom in October 2023 as a sampler to promote their European tour, the album received a wide release in New Zealand in December 2023, reaching number one the following month. Production In October 2023, L.A.B. held their first performances in the Northern Hemisphere, when they performed shows at the Paradiso in Amsterdam, and the O2 Forum Kentish Town in the United Kingdom. ''Introducing L.A.B.'' was produced as a sampler to commemorate the shows, and sold only in Europe and the United Kingdom. The album features two songs from ''L.A.B.'' (2017), three tracks from '' L.A.B. III'' (2019), three from ''L.A.B. IV'' (2020), one from '' L.A.B. V'' (2021), and " Take It Away", the band's 2022 single from their to-be released sixth album. O2 Forum Kentish Town
The O Forum Kentish Town is a concert venue in Kentish Town, London, England owned by MAMA & Company, and originally built in 1934. History The venue was built in 1934 and was originally used as an art deco cinema. After the cinema was closed, the venue re-opened as an Irish dance hall. In the 1980s, it changed directions from a bingo hall, to dance hall then to a live music venue under the name Town & Country Club. In 1993, Mean Fiddler purchased the venue and renamed it the London Forum. The final show at the T&C was Van Morrison on 21 March 1993. In 2007, MAMA & Company purchased the Forum from Mean Fiddler and spent £1.5 million on renovations, and increasing the capacity to 2,300. In 2015, the venue was acquired by Live Nation, and re-branded as O2 Forum Kentish Town, as part of the O2 Academy Group. Paradiso is a Dutch music venue and cultural centre located in Amsterdam. History It is housed in a converted former church building that dates from the nineteenth century and that was used until 1965 as the meeting hall for a liberal Dutch religious group known as the "Vrije Gemeente" (Free Congregation). It is located on ''de Weteringschans'', near the '' Leidseplein'', one of the nightlife and tourism centers of the city. The main concert hall in the former church interior has high ceilings and two balcony rings overlooking the stage area, with three large illuminated church windows above the stage.
