Into The Fight 2020
Into The Fight 2020 was a professional wrestling event promoted by DDT Pro-Wrestling (DDT). It took place on February 23, 2020, in Tokyo, Japan, at the Korakuen Hall. The event aired domestically on Fighting TV Samurai and AbemaTV, and globally on DDT Universe, DDT's video-on-demand service. Seven matches were contested at the event. The main event saw Masato Tanaka defeat Mao to retain the KO-D Openweight Championship. In another prominent match, Chris Brookes defeated Konosuke Takeshita to become the inaugural DDT Universal Champion. DDT Pro-Wrestling
is a Japanese professional wrestling promotion based in Shinjuku, Tokyo, Shinjuku, Tokyo. Its name is an initialism of Dramatic Dream Team, which was the promotion's original name from 1997 to 2004. Founded in March 1997 by Shintaro Muto, the promotion was eventually bought and managed by Shoichi Ichimiya until December 2005, when Sanshiro Takagi took over as the new president. is a Japanese professional wrestler. He is signed to American Wrestling promotion, promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he is a member of the Don Callis Family and one-half of the tag team Protoshita with Kyle Fletcher. He is a former AEW International Championship, AEW International Champion. He is also signed to Japanese promotions DDT Pro-Wrestling and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW). Hiroshi Yamato
, better known by his ring name , is a Japanese professional wrestler who works as a freelancer. Trained by the All Japan Pro Wrestling promotion, he started his career in February 2007 working in Mexico for the International Wrestling Revolution Group (IWRG) promotion, where he won the 2007 Rey del Ring tournament. Face (professional Wrestling)
In professional wrestling, a face (babyface) is a heroic, "good guy", "good-doer", or "fan favorite" wrestler, booked (scripted) by the promotion with the aim of being cheered by fans. They are portrayed as heroes relative to the heel wrestlers, who are analogous to villains. Traditionally, face characters wrestle within the rules and avoid cheating while behaving positively towards the referee and the audience.
