Miss Kittin
Caroline Hervé (born 15 July 1973), known professionally as Kittin, is a French electronic music producer, DJ, singer, and songwriter. Since rising to prominence in 1998 for her singles "1982" and "Frank Sinatra" with The Hacker, she has worked with other musicians such as Chicks on Speed, Felix da Housecat and Golden Boy. She released her debut solo album '' I Com'' in 2004, a second, '' BatBox'', in 2008, and a third, '' Calling from the Stars'', in 2013. She achieved international popularity with the singles " Rippin Kittin" and " Silver Screen Shower Scene". Life and career 1973–1994: Early life Miss Kittin was born Caroline Hervé in 1973 in Grenoble, a city in the Alps, in southeastern France. The Hacker
Michel Amato, better known by his stage name The Hacker, is a French electroclash and techno producer who has worked extensively with Miss Kittin. His work has been influenced by electronic artists like Kraftwerk, new wave artists such as the Cure and Depeche Mode, as well as the French rave scene of the early 1990s. His artist name comes from the Jeff Mills track of the same name. Career The Hacker started making music in 1989 at the age of 17 in Grenoble, France. At the time, Duran Duran was an early influence, but he later discovered the darker side of electro through electronic body music groups like Cabaret Voltaire and D.A.F. In 1993, The Hacker took on the hardcore side of electro and released a few 12”s with Benoit Bollini under the name XMF. In 1995, he made his own music in classic Detroit styled after Jeff Mills. ''Or'' is a collaborative album by Swiss musician Golden Boy and French singer and DJ Miss Kittin. It was released in Austria, Germany and Switzerland on 13 August 2001 by Ladomat 2000 and internationally on 23 March 2002 by Illustrious Records in the United Kingdom and Emperor Norton Records in the United States. The album includes the successful club single " Rippin Kittin" and a cover of " Campari Soda". The tracks "Nix" and "It's Good for You to Meet People Like Us" were both included in the 2003 racing video game '' Midnight Club II''. ''Champagne'' is the debut extended play (EP) by the French recording duo Miss Kittin & The Hacker, which was released in July 1998. The EP became an immediate hit in Germany and Europe. Several of the album's songs were later included on the duo's debut studio album '' First Album''. Background and development While establishing themselves as musicians and appearing on several compilation albums for Mental Groove Records, Miss Kittin & The Hacker eventually signed to DJ Hell's label International DeeJay Gigolo Records to release their debut EP as a duo ''Champagne''. Electropop

Techno
Techno is a genre of electronic dance music (EDM) which is generally produced for use in a continuous DJ set, with tempos being in the range from 120 to 150 beats per minute (bpm). International DeeJay Gigolo Records is a German electronic music record label run by techno artist DJ Hell (real name Helmut Geier). The label was founded in Munich in 1996 by DJ Hell and DJ Upstart as an affiliate of label Disko B. It is Germany's most successful electronic music record label, specialising in electro, house and techno with 80's pop and disco influences. "Gigolo" has released records by Dave Clarke, Jeff Mills, DJ Hell, Miss Kittin, The Hacker, The Penelopes, The Advent, Dopplereffekt, Fischerspooner, Tiga, Princess Superstar and Vitalic. In particular, the label is widely credited as being the germ cell of the electroclash music genre in the late 1990s.
