Interstate 35E (Texas)
Interstate 35E (I-35E), a north–south Interstate Highway, is the eastern half of Interstate 35 in Texas, I-35, where it splits to serve the Dallas–Fort Worth metropolitan area. I-35 splits into two branch routes, Interstate 35W (Texas), I-35W and I-35E, at Hillsboro, Texas, Hillsboro. I-35E travels north for , maintaining I-35's sequence of exit numbers. It travels through Dallas before rejoining with I-35W to reform I-35 in Denton, Texas, Denton. Hillsboro is a city in and the county seat of Hill County, Texas, United States. It is located between Dallas, Fort Worth and Waco, directly on Interstate 35 in North Central Texas. Texas State Highway 342
State Highway 342 (SH 342) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Texas. The highway begins at a junction with U.S. Highway 77 (US 77) in Red Oak and heads north through Lancaster to a junction with Loop 12 (Loop 12) in Dallas. History SH 342 was designated on November 24, 1941 over a former alignment of US 77 from the current alignment of US 77 in Red Oak to Spur 260 (Commerce Street) in Dallas, as US 77 was rerouted over SH 197. On June 25, 1991, the northern terminus was changed to I-30 with the removal of the portion north of I-30 from the State Highway System and returned to the city of Dallas. Milford is an incorporated rural community located in North Central Texas, in the southwestern corner of Ellis County, United States. The population was 722 at the 2020 census. The town is located northeast of Hillsboro and southwest of Waxahachie. The community received media attention due to a Chevron gas pipeline explosion and resulting town evacuation which occurred in 2013. Italy ( , unlike the country) is a town in Ellis County, Texas, United States. Its population was 1,926 in 2020. The community was named after Italy by a settler who had visited the European country. History Italy was founded in 1879 by settlers who found the surrounding land suitable for growing cotton, corn, sweet potatoes, and wheat. The Missouri–Kansas–Texas Railroad reached Italy in 1890, with the railroad stop making the town an important market center. In a road network, a concurrency is an instance of one physical roadway bearing two or more different route numbers. The practice is often economically and practically advantageous when multiple routes must pass between a single mountain crossing or over a bridge, or through a major city, and can be accommodated by a single right-of-way.
