Interscope Records
Interscope Records is an American record label based in Santa Monica, California, owned by Universal Music Group through its Interscope Geffen A&M imprint. Founded in late 1990 by Jimmy Iovine and Ted Field as a $20 million joint venture with Atlantic Records of Warner Music Group and Interscope Communications, it differed from most record labels by letting A&R staff control decisions and allowing artists and producers full creative control. Interscope's first hit records arrived in under a year, and it achieved profitability in 1993. Chair and CEO until May 2014, Iovine was succeeded by John Janick. In 1992, Interscope acquired the exclusive rights to market and distribute releases from hardcore hip hop label Death Row Records, a decision that ultimately put the label at the center of the mid-1990s gangsta rap controversy. Agnes Emilia Carlsson (born 6 March 1988), known Mononymous person, mononymously as Agnes, is a Swedish singer. She rose to fame as the winner of Idol 2005, the second season of the Idol (Sweden), Swedish Idol series. ...And You Will Know Us by the Trail of Dead (often abbreviated as Trail of Dead), are an American alternative rock band from Austin, Texas, formed in 1994. The band's earliest stable lineup consisted of Conrad Keely, Jason Reece, Kevin Allen and Neil Busch, though for most of the band's history Keely and Reece were the core members with other musicians serving for varying lengths of time. Trail of Dead had a cult following and were known for their energetic and protracted live performances. Between 1998 and 2023, the band released eleven studio albums and five EPs along with one live album and twenty-two singles. The artwork for all of the albums was created by Keely (who is also a painter) using various media. This artwork has recurring mythical and historical themes. Their latest studio album, ''XI: Bleed Here Now'', was released on July 15, 2022. Amber Mark (born December 29, 1993) is an American singer, songwriter, and producer. Her multifaceted style implements sounds from hip hop, contemporary R&B, soul, and bossa nova. Ama Serwah Genfi (born July 4, 1994), formerly known as Petrah and currently known professionally as Amaarae, is an Ghanaian-American singer and songwriter. She is known for her fusion of pop, R&B, afrobeats, and alté, as well as her fluid representation of gender and sexuality. After collaborating with local artists and putting out a few non-album singles, she released her debut EP, ''Passionfruit Summers,'' in 2017. In 2020, Amaarae released her debut album ''The Angel You Don't Know'' to critical acclaim. The song " Sad Girlz Luv Money" featuring Moliy gained popularity on TikTok. Ama Louisa John (born 9 May 1998) known professionally as Ama Lou or simply Ama, is an English singer-songwriter born and raised in London, United Kingdom. She is classically trained as a singer and began writing music at the age of 11. Early life Ama was born in north London, England to a Guyanese father and English mother. All Time Low is an American Rock music, rock band formed in Towson, Maryland, in 2003. All (stylized ALL) is an American punk rock band originally from Los Angeles, California, currently based in Fort Collins, Colorado. The group was formed by Descendents members Bill Stevenson, Karl Alvarez, and Stephen Egerton.
