International Erasmus Games
The International Erasmus Games is a multi-sport event held annually for members of the Erasmus Student Network, a student organisation for students on exchange in Europe. Held annually in European cities home to Erasmus Student Network local sections and organised by volunteers, the games bring together hundreds of participants from multiple countries worldwide. A conception of ESN Poland and ESN Italy, the first International Erasmus Games were hosted in Kraków, Poland, in 2015. Since then, the games have had seven editions hosted in seven cities in six countries. The eighth edition of the games are set to be hosted in Wrocław, Poland, from 30 May to 2 June 2024. Erasmus Student Network
The Erasmus Student Network (ESN) is a Europe-wide student organisation. It is the largest student organisation in Europe, focusing on student mobility and internationalisation of higher education. The organisation supports and develops student exchanges, both inside the Erasmus+ programme and outside of it. The local ESN sections offer help, guidance and information to both exchange students and students doing a full degree abroad – by informing them, but also providing them with different trips or events. National and international level support the local level by providing necessary tools, as well as communicating with national Erasmus+ organisations or the European Commission in general. Batavierenrace
The Batavierenrace is a student relay race organized in the Netherlands each year in May. It is a 185 km running race starting off at the Radboud University Nijmegen in Nijmegen and it takes the up to 8500 participants in 25 stages (16 men's stages and 9 women's stages) through Germany to the campus of the University of Twente in Enschede. It was listed in 2012, in the Guinness World Records as the relay race with the highest number of participants (8,509). On May 24 and 25, 2024 the 52nd Batavierenrace took place. Although mainly a Benelux event, teams from all over the world participate. The start is at 22:30 on a Friday at the and ends late in the afternoon of Saturday. GEM Altigliss Challenge
GEM Altigliss Challenge is the biggest skiing, ski and snowboarding, snowboard student event in Europe. The week-long event is organized annually in March by Altigliss, a student association of Grenoble School of Management, Grenoble École de Management. It is classified by the newspaper Le Point Etudiants as the third biggest event organized by a student association in 2013.
