International Agreements Committee
The International Agreements Committee is a select committee of the House of Lords in the Parliament of the United Kingdom. Originally a sub-committee of the European Union Committee, the International Agreements Committee has a remit to examine all treaties presented before Parliament as per the Constitutional Reform and Governance Act 2010, as well as to consider negotiations with foreign states and international bodies. In British politics, parliamentary select committees can be appointed from the House of Commons, like the Foreign Affairs Select Committee; from the House of Lords, like the Delegated Powers and Regulatory Reform Committee; or as a joint committee of Parliament drawn from both, such as the Joint Committee on Human Rights. David Arthur Russell Howell, Baron Howell of Guildford, (born 18 January 1936) is a British Conservative Party politician, journalist, and economic consultant. Having been successively Secretary of State for Energy and then for Transport under Margaret Thatcher, Howell has more recently been a Minister of State in the Foreign Office from the election in 2010 until the reshuffle of 2012. Edward Timothy Razzall, Lord Razzall, (born 12 June 1943) is a British Liberal Democrat politician and parliamentarian. Early life He was the son of Humphrey Razzall, a Liberal Party member who stood as Liberal Parliamentary Candidate for Scarborough and Whitby in the 1945 general election. John Morris, Baron Morris of Aberavon, (born 5 November 1931) is a British politician.
