Inter-High League
The Inter-High League (also known as The Worcester Inter-High League or Worcester League) was a High School athletic conference in the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association. The league was made up of eight public high schools and one vocational school throughout its existence all located in Worcester, Massachusetts. Claremont Academy and University Park Campus School were too small to field team in most sports, and students instead participate in Co-Op teams with other schools in the league. The league would fold in 2025 after merging with the Central Massachusetts Conference, Colonial Athletic League, Dual Valley Conference, and the Southern Worcester County League to form the Central Massachusetts Athletic Conference. Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association
The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association (MIAA) is an organization that sponsors activities in thirty-three sports, comprising 374 public high school, public and private high school, private high schools in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. The MIAA is a member of the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS), which writes the rules for most U.S. high school sports and activities. The MIAA was founded in 1978, and was preceded by both the Massachusetts Secondary School Principals Association (MSSPA) (1942–1978) and the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Council (MIAC) (1950–1978). Central Massachusetts Conference
The Central Massachusetts Conference is a high school athletic conference located in District 2 of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association. All of the schools in the conference are Catholic Schools located in the Worcester County of Massachusetts. Colonial Athletic League
The Colonial Athletic League is a high school athletic conference located in district 2 of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association. The league was formed in 1976 by a handful of vocational schools in central Massachusetts, and has since grown to nine vocational and charter schools across the Worcester and Middlesex Counties. History The Colonial was formed in 1976 by schools Assabet Valley, Bay Path, Keefe Tech, Monty Tech, and Nashoba Valley. The creation of the conference was a way for Vocational Schools in Central Massachusetts to play each other in their own league. In 1977, the league accepted their first new member in Worcester Tech (then Worcester Voke) who was already member of the Inter-High League. They stayed a part of the Inter-High while in the Colonial therefore allowing them to compete for two league titles. The Southern Worcester County League (SWCL) is a high school athletic conference located in District 2 of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association. The league was formed circa 1923 and currently consists of twelve public high schools in the southern part of Worcester County, Massachusetts.
