''Intensify'' is the second studio album by English electronic music duo Way Out West, released on 20 August 2001 by Distinct'ive Records. The album was marked by a move from the defunct Deconstruction Records label to Distinctive, and a change in their sound, from club instrumentals and sampled vocals to a mixture of club tracks and original songs. Release On 27 November 2000, Way Out West released the album's first single, "The Fall", through BMG; the former parent company of the group's previous label Deconstruction Records (defunct in 1998). "The Fall" peaked at #61 on the UK Singles Chart and was followed by the group's final release on BMG, the ''UB Devoid'' EP. Way Out West are an English electronic music duo comprising Jody Wisternoff and Nick Warren. Originating in Bristol, England, they rose to fame in the 1990s with their UK-charting singles " The Gift" and "Ajare", and their debut studio album '' Way Out West'' was released in 1997 to critical and commercial success. Their 2001 follow-up, ''Intensify'', also garnered chart success, along with its singles "The Fall", "Intensify" and " Mindcircus", the latter of which reached number one on the UK Dance Chart. "Mindcircus" is a song by English electronic music duo Way Out West featuring singer Tricia Lee Kelshall. It was released on 17 April 2002 through Distinct'ive Records, as the third single from Way Out West's second studio album ''Intensify''. The song peaked at #39 in the UK Singles Chart in 2002, and reached number 1 in the UK Dance Chart. The popularity of the song was extended by a remix from Gabriel & Dresden, which featured on Tiësto's '' In Search of Sunrise 3: Panama''. Background Following "Intensify", "Mindcircus" was released as the third single from ''Intensify''. In 2002, Black Hole released ''Mindcircus (Remixes)'' which reached #6 on ''Billboards US Dance Club Songs chart. A music video for the song was also filmed. Nicholas John Warren (born 24 October 1960) is an English DJ and record producer. He is best known as a member of the electronic music duo Way Out West (duo), Way Out West, his record label and global live events brand, The Soundgarden, and for his albums released in the Global Underground series. He is also head of A&R for the record label Hope Recordings. Biography In 1988, Nick Warren began DJing in Bristol, playing mainly reggae music, reggae and indie music until house music became more popular in the UK. By the early 1990s, Warren had become one of the more popular DJs in Bristol, performing regularly at the superclub Vision and DJing for Massive Attack. While working at a record store in 1994, Warren met producer Jody Wisternoff and the two decided to work together. It was released on 1 September 1997 by the since defunct record label Deconstruction Records, and peaked at 42 in the UK Albums Chart that year. ''Don't Look Now'' is the third studio album by English electronic music group Way Out West. It was released on 5 October 2004 on Distinct'ive Records. It is the only studio album by Way Out West as a trio, with the addition of singer Omi (Emma Everett). The album peaked at number 137 on the UK Albums Chart on release. Background ''Don't Look Now'' is Way Out West's second and final album release on Distinct'ive Records. The album's lead single, "Anything but You", was released on 21 June 2004 and peaked at 97 on the UK Singles Chart that year. This was followed by the album's release later that year, on 5 October 2004. In 2005, after the album's release, two more singles were released; "Don't Forget Me" on 14 March 2005 (peaked at 246 on the UK Singles Chart), and "Killa" on 15 October 2005 (released on Solaris Recordings and supported by a remix from Orkidea). Jody Wisternoff
Joseph Wisternoff (born 25 November 1973) is an English electronic music producer and DJ. He is best known as one half of the electronic music duo Way Out West, and also as a solo producer of dance music spanning early 1990s hardcore to deep house. Biography Wisternoff's first break came in the late 1980s as one half of the duo Tru Funk Posse (with brother Sam Wisternoff) when Bristol-based producers Smith & Mighty opened up their studio to them. Their tracks were playlisted by DJ Tim Westwood and the brothers appeared in '' The Face'' magazine. In the early 1990s, Wisternoff DJ'd at clubs such as Universe and Fantasia and produced tracks with DJ Die (now of Reprazent fame) under the name Sub Love, along with singer and songwriter Sue Brice (Coco Star), the vocalist of Fragma's Toca's Miracle. Joseph Kosma
Joseph Kosma (22 October 19057 August 1969) was a Hungarian composer who immigrated to France. Biography Kosma was born József Kozma in Budapest, where his parents taught stenography and typing. He had a brother, Ákos. A maternal relative was the photographer László Moholy-Nagy, and another was the conductor Georg Solti. He started to play the piano at age five, and later took piano lessons. At the age of 11, he wrote his first opera, ''Christmas in the Trenches''. After completing his education at the Secondary Grammar School Franz-Josef, he attended the Academy of Music in Budapest, where he studied with Leo Weiner. ''Kinetica'' is a 2001 racing video game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment for the PlayStation 2 in North America. Jacques Prévert (; 4 February 1900 – 11 April 1977) was a French poet and screenwriter. His poems became and remain popular in the French-speaking world, particularly in schools. His best-regarded films formed part of the Poetic realism, poetic realist movement, and include (1945). He published his first book in 1946. Life and education Prévert was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine and grew up in Paris.
