Integrity (album)
''Integrity>'' is the third album by grime rapper Jme, It was released on 4 May 2015 independently on Boy Better Know. Throughout the years leading up to the album, Jme released numerous singles such as "96 Fuckries" and "Work" that were included on the track list of ''Integrity>''. "Calm" was originally credited as Tommy Kruise featuring Jme, and appeared on his October 2014 EP entitled ''Fête Foreign''. The album was commercially successful, entering the UK Albums Chart at number 12. It is one of the 19 records nominated for the IMPALA Album of the Year Award 2015. The album features guest appearances from fellow Boy Better Know MCs Skepta, Frisco, Shorty, Jammer and British rappers Giggs, Wiley, D Double E and Big Narstie. Production varies from Jme, Preditah, Swifta Beater, Deeco and Rude Kid, among others. On 8 January 2016, the instrumentals for the entire album were released on limited edition clear vinyl. Grime (music Genre)
Grime is a genre of electronic dance music (EDM) that emerged in London in the early 2000s. It developed out of the earlier UK dance style UK garage, and draws influences from jungle, dancehall, and hip hop. The style is typified by rapid, syncopated breakbeats, generally around 140 beats per minute, and often features an aggressive or jagged electronic sound. Emceeing is a significant element of the style, and lyrics often revolve around gritty depictions of urban life. The style initially spread among pirate radio stations and underground scenes before achieving some mainstream recognition in the UK during the mid-2000s through artists such as Dizzee Rascal, Kano, Lethal Bizzle, and Wiley. Jammer (rapper)
Jahmek Levi Selassie Power (born 30 June 1982), better known by his stage name Jammer, is a British grime MC, rapper, songwriter and record producer, known for being a member of Boy Better Know and a former member of N.A.S.T.Y Crew. Jammer also runs Lord of the Mics, a grime clash series released on DVD and well known in grime. Biography Jammer was a member of the East London group N.A.S.T.Y Crew from 2000, and released a single under his own name, "Take U Out", in 2003 before departing from the group. He signed with Big Dada Recordings and released his first full-length, ''Jahmanji'', in May 2010. Liam Sylvester McLean (born 30 January 1989), better known by his stage name Joker, is a British record producer who creates music in genres such as dubstep and grime and was known for creating the subgenre "purple sound". He has contributed to two releases produced by the London-based record company Hyperdub. His debut album, ''The Vision'', was released on 31 October 2011 through independent label 4AD. His sophomore LP, ''The Mainframe'', was released on 16 February 2015 through his own Kapsize imprint. He was named "2009 king of bass music" by ''XLR8R'' magazine. The UK Singles Downloads Chart is compiled by the Official Charts Company (OCC) on behalf of the music industry. Since July 2015, the chart week runs from Friday to Thursday, with the chart date given as the following Thursday. The main chart contains the Top 200 downloads (which are published in ''UKChartsPlus''), with the top 100 published on the OCC website. The chart only uses sales of ''permanent digital downloads'', that is single-download tracks on non-subscription online music stores. Some downloading services offer a monthly fee plan where generally an unlimited number of tracks can be downloaded within a month for a certain price. Richard Kylea Cowie Jr. (born 19 January 1979), better known by his stage name Wiley (formerly Wiley Kat), is a British grime MC, songwriter, DJ and record producer from Bow, London. Joseph Olaitan Adenuga Jr. (born 19 September 1982), known professionally as Skepta, is a British grime MC, rapper, record producer and DJ. Alongside his younger brother Jme, he briefly joined Roll Deep before they became founding members of Boy Better Know in 2005. Boy Better Know, often abbreviated as BBK, is a British grime collective and record label. The collective was founded in North London in 2005 as an independent record label by brothers Jamie and Joseph Adenuga, better known as Jme and Skepta, respectively. The former also serves as a sole owner and director of an associated company, ''Boy Better Know Limited'', incorporated in 2008.
