The Institute of Applied Sciences Ruhengeri (, INES), or simply INES - Ruhengeri, is a private research university located in the Northern province of Rwanda. It was established on November 17, 2003. The acceptance rate is around 80-90%, making it one of the most accepting universities in Rwanda. It is located in the city of Ruhengeri. In 2019, the university started a five year long collaboration with Bingen Technical University of Applied Sciences to research and improve farming practices in the area. Ruhengeri
Ruhengeri, also known as Musanze or Muhoza, is the third largest city in Rwanda and the capital of Musanze District in the Northern Province of Rwanda. The city has a population of 153,368 as of the 2022 census. Name Some sources now refer to the city itself as Musanze, after the district in which it lies within. Musanze District
Musanze is a Districts of Rwanda, district in the Northern Province, Rwanda, Northern Province of Rwanda. Its capital city is Ruhengeri. The Bingen Technical University of Applied Sciences (German: ''Technische Hochschule Bingen'') is a university located in Bingen am Rhein, Germany. It was founded in 1897. The University of Applied Sciences Bingen consists of two faculties: the faculty of life sciences and engineering and the faculty of technology, informatics and business. Paul Kagame ( ; born 23 October 1957) is a Rwandan politician and former military officer who has been the President of Rwanda since 2000. He was previously a commander of the Rwandan Patriotic Front (RPF), a rebel armed force which invaded Rwanda in 1990. Dancilla Nyirarugero
Dancilla Nyirarugero (born 1970) is a Rwandan politician and career educator who currently serves as Governor of the Northern Province. Early life and education Nyirarugero began her education at ''Ecole Primaire de Rungu'', a school located in the Musanze District. She went on to study at ''Lycee Notre Dames de Citeaux'', an all-girls' school in Kigali. For university, she attended the Institute of Applied Sciences Ruhengeri (INES). She went on to receive her graduate education at Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda, where she graduated with a master’s degree in quantitative economics in 2009. Career Prior to appointment as Governor, Nyirarugero was a lecturer at INES, and later became Dean of Business Studies at Muhabura Integrated Polytechnic College (MIPC) in the Musanze District.
