Institut Florimont
The Institut Florimont is a school in Geneva. It was founded in 1905 by the ''Congrégation des Missionnaires de Saint François de Sales'', soon after a law in France prohibited religious congregations of any persuasion. The Institut Florimont started out as a private catholic French-speaking boarding school for boys. However, the school has been directed by a lay person since 1995, and has accepted girls at the secondary II level since 1978. In 1995, the entire school became co-ed, boarding was no longer offered, and the pre-school classes were opened. Accreditation Florimont's (upper) secondary education (''Middle and High School'') is approved as a Mittelschule/Collège/Liceo by the Swiss Federal State Secretariat for Education, Research and Innovation (SERI)., one of only two private schools in the canton to receive the accreditation. The International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) is a two-year educational programme primarily aimed at 16-to-19-year-olds in 140 countries around the world. The programme provides an internationally accepted qualification for entry into higher education and is recognized by many universities worldwide. Joachim Havard De La Montagne
Joachim Louis-Paul Havard de la Montagne (30 November 1927 – 1 October 2003) was a French composer, organist and choral director. Life Havard de la Montagne was the son of French parents; Charles (born 1891) and Marie-Thérèse Eugénie (born 1899, née de Payret), who settled in his birthplace of Geneva, where his father worked for an international organisation. After the war he moved to Paris and studied music at the École César Franck. From 1947 to his retirement in 1996, this organist, composer, musicologist and conductor served religious music, notably in Paris at the churches of , Sainte-Odile and the liberal synagogue Copernic. Havard de la Montagne held the position of Kapellmeister at the église de la Madeleine in Paris, assisted by his wife Elisabeth, also and organist and harpsichordist. Dominique Warluzel
Dominique Warluzel (29 May 1957 – 8 March 2022) was a Swiss lawyer, television producer, and playwright. He was registered with the Geneva Bar. Education Dominique Warluzel attended the Institut Florimont from 1965 to 1977 until he obtained his type-B federal maturity diploma (Latin). From 1974 to 1977, Warluzel studied theatre with actor and professor Michel Cassagne at the Conservatoire de Musique de Genève. He went on to attend the University of Geneva, where he obtained his law degree in 1981. Waruvel passed the bar exam in April 1983. While in school Warluzel played table tennis and in 1969, won a junior Geneva table tennis championship title. Alain Morisod (born 23 June 1949) is a Swiss musician and television producer, known for forming Sweet People who had a UK number 4 hit in 1980 with "Et Les Oiseaux Chantaient (And the Birds Were Singing)". Early life Morisod grew up with an older brother, Maurice, born 3 April 1946. He did also have another brother, Jean-Claude, born 23 October 1947, but he died only 4 days after being born.
