Insel Verlag
Suhrkamp Verlag is a German publishing house, established in 1950 and generally acknowledged as one of the leading European publishers of fine literature. Its roots go back to the "arianized" part of the S. Fischer Verlag. In January 2010 the headquarters of the company moved from Frankfurt to Berlin. Suhrkamp declared bankruptcy in 2013, following a longstanding legal conflict between its owners. In 2015, economist Jonathan Landgrebe was announced as director. Early history The firm was established by Peter Suhrkamp, who had led the equally renowned S. Fischer Verlag since 1936. As the censorship of the Nazi Regime endangered the existence of the S. Ayşe Şekibe İnsel
Ayşe Şekibe İnsel (1886 – March 29, 1970) was a Turkish farmer, politician and one of the first 18 female members of the parliament. Private life Ayşe Şekibe was born to Dr. Şekip Bey and his spouse Fatma Hanım in Istanbul, then Ottoman Empire in 1886. She spent her youth years in Istanbul. She attended Istanbul Vocational School for Girls and the Deutsche Schule Istanbul. In 1905, she married Mehmet Kemalettin Bey, and became the mother of a son. She had knowledge of the German language because of her secondary education and her stay awhile in Germany due to her son's school. She settled in İsaören village of İnegöl district in Bursa Province, where she was occupied with farming. Ayşe Şekibe İnsel died on March 29, 1970. Insel Air (formally ''Insel Air International B.V.'') was a Dutch Caribbean carrier that served as the national airline of Curaçao. It was headquartered in Maduro Plaza, Willemstad. Insel Air last served five destinations throughout the Caribbean, South America. Its fleet consisted of Fokker 50 aircraft. The airline had a hub in Hato International Airport in Curaçao. Insel Air was incorporated as a private limited liability company (Dutch: ''Besloten Vennootschap'') on September 8, 1993. Insel Air has been impacted by the Venezuelan crisis and is estimated to hold approximately $100 million in Venezuelan bolívars. The inability to convert bolívars to US dollars resulted in the airline ceasing operations of its Aruban subsidiary as of June 7, 2017, and affected the rest of the airline's operations with a major downsizing of fleet and destinations.
