The Ingush Independence Committee or Committee of Ingush Independence (, ) is an Ingush separatist organization founded on 7 January 2023 by Ingush diaspora in Turkey. History The committee was founded on 7 January 2023 in Istanbul by Ingush nationalists living in Turkey. The creation of the movement was supported by Oleksiy Goncharenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada. The movement participated in the Free Nations of Post-Russia Forum, which was held in the European parliament in January 2023. In May 2023, the government of Ingushetia started charging known members of the organization with supporting the Caucasus Emirate and justification of Nazism. The armed wing of the movement, the Ingush Liberation Army, was created in April 2023. The Mountainous Republic of the Northern Caucasus (MRNC), also referred to as the United Republics of the North Caucasus, Mountain Republic, or the Republic of the Mountaineers, was a transcontinental state in Eurasia. It encompassed the entirety of the North Caucasus and emerged during the Russian Civil War and existed from 1918 to 1919. Akhmed Zakayev
Akhmed Halidovich Zakayev (; ; born 26 April 1959) is a Chechen statesman, political and military figure of the unrecognised Chechen Republic of Ichkeria (ChRI). Having previously been a Deputy Prime Minister, he now serves as Prime Minister of the ChRI government-in-exile. He was also the Foreign Minister of the Ichkerian government, appointed by Aslan Maskhadov shortly after his 1997 election, and again in 2006 by Abdul Halim Sadulayev. 2018 Chechnya–Ingushetia Border Agreement
The Chechnya–Ingushetia border agreement was a boundary delimitation deal concluded on 26 September 2018 between Ramzan Kadyrov and Yunus-bek Yevkurov, respectively, the heads of Chechnya and Ingushetia, two federal subjects of the Russian Federation located in the North Caucasus region. According to the agreement, Ingushetia transferred 340 square kilometres, that is, about 9% of its territory, to Chechnya. The territory, located in Ingushetia's Sunzhensky District, had been claimed by Chechnya for years, despite the 1993 and 2003 agreements between the two republics not to change the existing boundaries. The Russian undesirable organizations law (officially Federal Law of 23.05.2015 N 129-FZ "On amendments of some legislative acts of the Russian Federation") is a law that was signed by President Vladimir Putin on 23 May 2015 as a follow-up to the 2012 Russian foreign agent law and Dima Yakovlev Law. Under the law, Russian prosecutors are able to target foreign groups which they deem to present "a threat to the foundation of the constitutional order of the Russian Federation, the defense capability of the country or the security of the state." The law gives prosecutors the power to declare foreign and international organizations "undesirable" in Russia and shut them down.
