Ingrid Lucia
The Flying Neutrinos are an American jazz band from New Orleans. The band consists of Ingrid Lucia (vocals), Dan Levinson (saxophone), Matthew Munisteri (guitar), Todd Londagin (trombone), Jim Greene (double bass), and David Berger (drums). David Pearlman (a.k.a. Poppa Neutrino), father of Ingrid Lucia, and his wife Betsy, who started the band in the 1980s. Pearlman was in the press for his trip across the Atlantic Ocean in a raft. Origins In an interview with the Dallas Morning News, Todd Londagin's mother said:We're called 'The Flying Neutrinos,' because neutrinos are the smallest things in the universe. Daniel A. Levinson (born July 8, 1965) is an American jazz clarinetist, saxophone, saxophonist, and bandleader. He is best known for his mastery of the jazz styles of the 1910s, 1920s, and 1930s. Career Born in Los Angeles County, California, Levinson has been a member of the bands of Leon Redbone and Vince Giordano in addition to leading multiple bands of his own, mostly in the New York City metropolitan area. Poppa Neutrino, born William David Pearlman, (October 15, 1933 in Fresno, California – January 23, 2011 in New Orleans, Louisiana) was a musician, raft builder and "free spirit" who lived his life outside expected norms. A neutrino ( ; denoted by the Greek letter ) is an elementary particle that interacts via the weak interaction and gravity. The neutrino is so named because it is electrically neutral and because its rest mass is so small ('' -ino'') that it was long thought to be zero. The ''Albuquerque Journal'' is the largest newspaper in the U.S. state of New Mexico. History The ''Golden Gate'' newspaper was founded in June 1880. In the fall of 1880, the owner of the ''Golden Gate'' died and Journal Publishing Company was created. Journal Publishing changed the paper's name to ''Albuquerque Daily Journal'' and issued its first edition of the ''Albuquerque Daily Journal'' on October 14, 1880. Jazz is a music genre that originated in the African-American communities of New Orleans, Louisiana, in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
