Ingleside, New South Wales
Ingleside is a suburb in Northern Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Ingleside is located 28 kilometres north of the Sydney central business district, in the Local government in Australia, local government area of Northern Beaches Council. Ingleside Heights and Tumbledown Dick are localities in the west of the suburb. The area is mostly semi-rural properties and bushland with increasing housing developments. Ingleside Line
The K Ingleside is a light rail line of the Muni Metro system in San Francisco, California. It mainly serves the West Portal and Ingleside neighborhoods. The line opened on February 3, 1918, and was the first line to use the Twin Peaks Tunnel. Route description The outer terminal of the K Ingleside is at Balboa Park station, where it shares a terminal loop plus loading and unloading platforms with the J Church. The line runs in a dedicated median in Ocean Avenue as far as Ocean Avenue/CCSF Pedestrian Bridge station, then in mixed traffic to Junipero Serra and Ocean station. Surface stations are typically boarding islands located between the tracks and the outer traffic lanes. The line again has a short dedicated median on Junipero Serra Boulevard. It joins the M Ocean View at St. Francis Circle station, from where the lines run in mixed traffic to a junction with the L Taraval outside West Portal station. Ingleside (Ridgeway, Virginia)
Ingleside is a historic house at 500 Mica Road in Henry County, Virginia, north of Ridgeway. It is a two-story wood-frame house with a mix of Greek and Gothic Revival features. It has a basically square shape, with three bays divided by vertical boards that resemble pilasters. Its gables are adorned with Gothic scalloped vergeboard. Its interiors include distinctive painted finishes, include a fireplace mantel painted to resemble gold-veined black marble. The house is believed to have been built in the 1870s by a member of the Penn family, who were recorded as the landowners in the late 1870s. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999. Ingleside Vineyards is a winery located in the Northern Neck George Washington Birthplace AVA, an American Viticultural Area located in the Northern Neck region of Virginia. Ingleside is one of the oldest and largest wineries in the state, established in 1980, and part of an estate of over owned by the Flemer family since 1890. History The farmhouse, originally known as Washington Academy, was built in 1834, and is a two-story, five-bay, brick building with a pedimented hexastyle front portico. Flanking the two-story central block are one-story wings. The Washington Academy operated until about 1844, and the property sold in 1847. Ingles Ferry
Ingles Ferry (sometimes referred to as English Ferry) is the site of a historic ferry crossing on the New River (Kanawha River tributary), New River in western Virginia, near the city of Radford, Virginia, Radford in Pulaski County, Virginia, United States. A tavern was opened there in 1772 and the ferry served soldiers and civilians until 1948. A bridge was built at the site in 1842 but was burned during the U.S. Civil War, civil war.
