Inger Lise Rypdal
Inger Lise Rypdal (born 14 December 1949 in Lena, Norway) is a Norwegian singer and actress in several different genres: pop, rock, theater, film, and musical. She is the sister of singer Maj Britt Andersen and was married (1969–1985) to guitarist and composer Terje Rypdal. Biography Inger Lise Rypdal (originally Inger Lise Andersen) has been an artist since 1968. Lena, Norway
Lena is a village in Østre Toten Municipality in Innlandet county, Norway, about to the southwest of the village of Kapp and lake Mjøsa. The village has a population (2021) of 1,245 and a population density of . The urban area of Lena also includes part of the village of Kraby, just to the east. Lena is a commercial center for the municipality and is surrounded by mostly farmland. In central Lena, there are several shops and three schools (upper secondary, lower secondary, and primary schools). Toten folk high school is also located in Lena. The distance from Lena to Oslo is roughly (as the crow flies) and by road. The town of Gjøvik is away and Norway's largest airport, Oslo Airport, Gardermoen (OSL), is by road. Jahn Teigen (born Jan Teigen; 27 September 1949 – 24 February 2020) was a Norwegian singer, musician and comedian. He represented Norway in the Eurovision Song Contest three times, in 1978, 1982 and 1983, From October 2006 until his death in February 2020, he lived in Sweden. Biography Popol Vuh Jahn Teigen was born in Tønsberg. He started his career in the late 1960s when he released a few singles and one album with Enemies. However, his commercial breakthrough did not come until the early 1970s as the lead singer of the 6-member rock band Popol Vuh. They released three successful albums, the first self-titled in 1973. Their most popular album was released in 1976, called ''Stolen From Time'', but this time under their new name Popol Ace, to avoid confusion with the German rock band with the same name that also was popular in the 1970s. Norway was represented at the Eurovision Song Contest 1973 with the song "It's Just a Game", written by Arne Bendiksen and Bob Williams, and performed by the Bendik Singers. The Norwegian participating broadcaster, (NRK), selected its entry through the 1973. Before Eurovision 1973 (NRK) held the 1973 at the Château Neuf in Oslo, hosted by Vidar Lønn-Arnesen. Five songs were presented in the final with each song sung twice by different singers, once with a small combo and once with a full orchestra. The winning song was chosen by voting from a 14-member public jury who each awarded between 1 and 5 points per song.
