''Inevitable'' is an EP by Thud, released in 1993 by Fifth Colvmn Records. In September 2018 the songs "Conflict" and "Search" received airplay on WMUC-FM when Gary Young of The Drooling Zoomers DJed them on his scheduled program The Irrelevant Show, which plays classic west-coast songs from the 1990s. Thud (band)
Thud was a death-doom band from Washington, D.C. The band comprised vocalist Robert Dotolo, drummer Gregg Hudson, bassist Chris Rasley and guitarist Adam Rutland, who played a combination of death-doom, stoner and thrash metal. They released the full-length studio album ''Life & Death'' and the EP '' Inevitable'' in 1992 and 1993 respectively before disbanding. History Thud was formed in 1990 by vocalist Robert Dotolo, drummer Gregg Hudson, bassist Chris Rasley and guitarist Adam Rutland out of Washington, D.C. The band recorded at Oz Studio in Baltimore and in 1992 released their first studio album ''Life & Death'' on Fifth Colvmn Records, marking the label's second release after Chemlab's 1990 EP ''10 Ton Pressure''. Death-doom
Death-doom is an extreme subgenre of heavy metal. It combines the slow tempos and pessimistic or depressive mood of doom metal with the deep growling vocals and double kick drumming of death metal. Thrash Metal

Fifth Colvmn Records
Fifth Colvmn Records was a record label based in Washington, DC. The label was founded in 1990 by Zalman Fishman, owner of the nightclub FIFTH COLVMN, located in Washington D.C. The label's first release was Chemlab's debut EP Ten Ton Pressure. Jared Hendrickson of Chemlab also became the general manager for the label. Chemlab later played several dates with Nine Inch Nails, eventually attracting a distribution deal for their next release, Burn Out at the Hydrogen Bar, with Metal Blade Records. The band Thud was the next artist to join the label. Heavy, loud and unrelenting, Thud became very popular amongst Metal fans and critics alike luring Eli Janney from Girls Against Boys to contribute to their debut record Life & Death and earning co-headling performances with Stone Temple Pilots. ''Life & Death'' is the debut studio album by Thud, released in 1992 by Fifth Colvmn Records. In April 2015 the lead track "Ventilator" was played on Diane's Kamikaze Fun Machine: Playlist on WMUC-FM. Reception AllMusic gave ''Life & Death'' gave three out of five possible stars. Fabryka Music Magazine awarded the album a flawless rating of four out of four stars, describing it as "heaviest Fifth Colvmn album" and "a violent assault of great rock and heavy metal." WMUC-FM
WMUC-FM (90.5 MHz FM) is the student-run non-commercial radio station licensed to the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland, broadcasting at 30 watts. It is a freeform radio station staffed entirely by UMD students and volunteers. Broadcast Coverage WMUC can be heard on 90.5 FM in College Park and Hyattsville, in parts of Washington, DC and Silver Spring, and many of the surrounding communities. A phonograph record (also known as a gramophone record, especially in British English), or simply a record, is an analog sound storage medium in the form of a flat disc with an inscribed, modulated spiral groove. The groove usually starts near the periphery and ends near the center of the disc. At first, the discs were commonly made from shellac, with earlier records having a fine abrasive filler mixed in. Starting in the 1940s polyvinyl chloride became common, hence the name vinyl. The phonograph record was the primary medium used for music reproduction throughout the 20th century.
