Indy Classic
The Indy Classic is a doubleheader college basketball showcase held annually at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana, United States. It replaced the previously popular Crossroads Classic. It features the Purdue Boilermakers and the Ball State Cardinals. The other two teams have rotated through the years to include the Davidson Wildcats, the Illinois State Redbirds, the Arizona Wildcats and the Indiana State Sycamores. The showcase is an annual fundraiser for the Indiana Sport's Corp's non-profit mission. President of the nonprofit Indiana Sports Corp has confirmed that they are working to schedule teams through the 2027 season. History In 2022, the doubleheader was founded as a replacement to the Crossroads Classic. An indefinite agreement has been made with the stakeholders to host the event each December. Butler Bulldogs Men's Basketball
The Butler Bulldogs men's basketball team represents Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana. The school's team currently competes in the Big East Conference. They play their home games at Hinkle Fieldhouse. History Butler competed as part of the Horizon League since its founding, and played basketball in other regional conferences before that, including the Missouri Valley Conference. In 2012 they left the Horizon League for the Atlantic 10 and the year after, moved to the Big East. Despite having played in a mid-major conference, Butler rose to national prominence in the late 1990s. The 2024–25 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 4, 2024. The regular season ended on March 16, 2025, with the 2025 NCAA Division I men's basketball tournament that began with the First Four on March 18 and ended with the championship game at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas, on April 7. The 2023–24 Ball State Cardinals men's basketball team represented Ball State University in the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Cardinals, led by second-year head coach Michael Lewis, played their home games at Worthen Arena in Muncie, Indiana as members of the Mid-American Conference (MAC). They finished the season 15–16, 7–11 in MAC play, to finish in 9th place. They failed to qualify for the MAC tournament. 2023–24 Indiana State Sycamores Men's Basketball Team
The 2023–24 Indiana State Sycamores men's basketball team represented Indiana State University during the 2023–24 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Sycamores, led by third-year head coach Josh Schertz, played their home games at the Hulman Center in Terre Haute, Indiana as members of the Missouri Valley Conference (MVC). The team finished the season 32–7, 17–3 in MVC play to win the regular-season championship. They defeated Missouri State and Northern Iowa before losing to Drake in the MVC tournament championship game. They received a bid to the National Invitation Tournament as a No. 1 seed. The 2022–23 Illinois State Redbirds men's basketball team represented Illinois State University during the 2022–23 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Redbirds played their home games at Doug Collins Court at Redbird Arena in Normal, Illinois as members of the Missouri Valley Conference. They were led by first-year head coach Ryan Pedon.
