Industry, California
The City of Industry is a city in the San Gabriel Valley, in eastern Los Angeles County, California, United States. The city is almost entirely industrial, containing over 3,000 businesses employing 67,000 people, with only 264 residents as of the 2020 census, making it the third least populous city in the state. It was incorporated on June 18, 1957, and has become the economic hub for the San Gabriel Valley. History In 1841, William and Nicolasa Workman, who emigrated from Mexico with John Rowland and others, received a land grant for Rancho La Puente from the governor of Alta California, Juan Bautista Alvarado. The ranch eventually grew to almost 49,000 acres. The Workmans quickly established themselves as cattle ranchers and did well financially during the Gold Rush, supplying fresh beef to the gold fields. Created by former investment bankers Mickey Down and Konrad Kay, the show's first season follows a group of young graduates competing for permanent positions at Pierpoint & Co, a prestigious investment bank in London. It premiered on 9 November 2020 on HBO in the United States, and on 10 November 2020 on BBC Two in the United Kingdom. Industry Bar, or simply Industry, is a gay bar and nightclub in the Hell's Kitchen, Manhattan, Hell's Kitchen neighborhood of Manhattan in New York City. Industry were a pop group formed in Ireland in 2009. The band comprised Donal Skehan, Morgan Deane, Michele McGrath and Briton Lee Hutton. Industry, Texas
Industry is a town in Austin County, Texas, United States, at the junction of State Highway 159 (SH 159) and Farm to Market Road 109 (FM 109). The population was 268 at the 2020 census. Industry was the first permanent German settlement in Texas. Friedrich Ernst, Industry's founder, settled here in 1831 and gained Industry the title "Cradle of German Settlement in Texas" (see German Texan). The community was so named on account of the industrious character of the first settlers. Industry is a borough in western Beaver County, Pennsylvania, United States, along the Ohio River. As of the 2020 census, the population was 1,838, almost unchanged from 2010. It is part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area. History The borough was organized as the Township of Industry in 1856 from an electoral district named Industry that comprised portions of Ohio Township and Brighton Township.
