INDUMIL
INDUMIL (a portmanteau of the Spanish language, Spanish words ''Industria'' ''Militar'', Military Industry) is a Colombian-based military weapons manufacturer. The company is run by the Government of Colombia, Colombian government. History Indumil was originally known as National Workshop of Mechanic Crafts (). It was founded in 1908 as a dependency of the Ministry of War. The institution was renamed Indumil in 1954 as an autonomous organisation. In 1954 Indumil's main facilities were opened. Its first factory, named General José María Córdova, was intended to produce small arms and ammunition. This facility is located in Soacha, Cundinamarca Department, Cundinamarca. In 1955 a second facility was set up under the name of Santa Bárbara. This second unit makes heavy munitions and artillery equipment for Colombian military forces. Galil Córdova
The Galil Córdova is an assault rifle designed and developed by Colombian company INDUMIL, Indumil, based on the IMI Galil, Galil AR. It is the main assault rifle of the Colombian Armed Forces and National Police. The Córdova is named after Colombian independence hero José María Córdova. History With the escalation of the Colombian conflict and the restrictions on the sale of arms and spare parts from manufacturing countries, the government was forced to find a supplier that would satisfy not only the demands of the conflict, but also guarantee the continuous supply of new material, spare parts, but and more importantly, the transfer of technology. The IMI Galil () is a family of Israeli-made automatic rifles chambered for the 5.56×45mm NATO and 7.62×51mm NATO cartridges. The IWI Galil ACE, also marketed as the IWI ACE is a series of assault rifles and battle rifles developed and manufactured by Israel Weapon Industries (IWI), produced in 5.56×45mm NATO, 7.62×39mm and 7.62×51mm NATO calibres. INDUMIL Córdova
The INDUMIL Córdova is a semi-automatic pistol developed by INDUMIL. Made of a fiberglass reinforced polymer, the locked breech system operates by mass recoil. It is the first commercial pistol to have a receiver system with the fire control system. It is initially designed for government agencies and the Military Forces of Colombia; the Córdova became available in late 2015 for the civilian commercial market. The Jericho 941 is a double-action/single-action semi-automatic pistol developed by Israel Weapon Industries (prior to 2005, Israel Military Industries) that was introduced in 1990. Design The original Jericho 941 was modeled on the CZ-75 pistol and built using parts supplied by the Italian arms house Tanfoglio, which had been making their own CZ-75 clones. The design allowed IMI to avoid the teething problems most new pistol designs experience, and subcontracting much of the basic fabrication work to Tanfoglio allowed IMI to quickly put into production a pistol that would have enough Israeli content to satisfy government contract requirements.
